ragnarok1945
but Meti said it himself the actual book pages will be smaller, so word count is irrelevant
Luna Lovegood
Why is WORD count irrelevent? It was the number of pages
ragnarok1945
it won't matter until it is transferred to MS Publisher. That's how one of my friends tried writing a book, and he didn't care at all on the pages on MS word until he felt he was getting close
Luna Lovegood
God dammit, can't you read? I am talking about WORD COUNT! THE NUMBER OF WORDS! NOT THE NUMBER OF PAGES
Careless Whisper
Ragnarock is correct. I do not need the word count or page count on MS Word, I just need the page count on MS Publisher. Now you two can stop before causing a potential arguement in my thread. ragnarok1945
of course. There going to be any grotesque scenes in this book?
Careless Whisper
Well, depends on what you mean by grotesque. If you mean like bloody and gorey, then yes, if you mean sexual then no.
ragnarok1945
Well, I'm talking on the grotesque horror scenes you see in the Saw movies (unless you haven't seen any yet)
Careless Whisper
Well, I don't plan on having any horror parts within the book. It wouldn't really fit the genre that well.

They may accidentally have some characters personailities and traits that you might find familiar, but all-in-all, these characters will be quite realistic and original.[/quote']Oh no, that is a Bobba Fett remake I tell ya. Benraino
Alright so basicly I'm starting on a new book called "I Alone."© Starring a man in his mid 30's named John D. Sumter. The subtitle of this book is going to be "Diary of John Donald Sumter" because it's reading out of his diary for when everything for his life starts getting really interresting. Alright' date=' enough of the tell, now for the show. Here's the preview summery for this action packed novel that is so far in the makings. --Mr. John Donald Sumter, a war hero mercenary who had been hired by many countries to fight for their sides during their wars. His reputation, merciless, highly intelligent, and all-around specialist in advanced bio-genetics training. His main career as a Spec-Ops enforcer was terminated by the United States of America under his own wishes when his wife had passed away. He then became a mercenary for any country that could pay him any larger. He was so compelled by pay that he worked for multiple countries to earn more, even if it meant being a double agent in a single battle.--Now, John is at war again, but this time he isn't being paid by anyone. This time, it's one man fighting alone against the entire planet of Earth. His crimes as a multiple agent led the usual rivaling countries into signing treaties and forming alianses just to collect his rich bounty. --No allies, barely any resources, and no truly safe place to be. Small odds for a single man standing alone and warring against the entire world. And there you have it. Now, I do wonder if it's in need of any improvements, anything that seems confusing, or any comments on this little summery. Thank you for reading and I hope to finish this book soon. And yes, unlike I failed to do with Immortal Chronicles, I will be actually publishing this book when it is finally finished. -- Meti Morgan EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW> Horribly overdone plot is horribly overdone. Careless Whisper
Fire Haze, I think you forget that some publishing companies actually accept books from people who don't go to college. However, I do have some risks there, some of those kinds of publishers try to take credit for the book itself, so I intend to personally ask a publisher by the name of Arthur A. Levine. The very person who published the Harry Potter books for J.K. Rowling.

Because it is quite overdone and you're trying to get it published by a major publisher you will get turned down and you will be angry.
Careless Whisper
Who are you to assume that I would get angry.. If I get turned down then I'll go to someone else. This story is not overdone, I've already had comments on the progress being one of the most original plot lines. That's just the progress, this book is supposed to be a big hit for me.
