Saiyan Knight
After seeing Gandora the Dragon of Destruction, I wanted to find a way to use it in a deck, whether or not I'm taking advantage of it on the field. I was looking through my common box and saw a copy of Super Rejuvenation and it made me think of my favorite dead OTK, Rainbow Dark Turbo. I figured it could be humorous at least, but now that I look at it, I want to see what can come of it in a tournament arena. Here's the list: Monsters - 193x Rainbow Dark Dragon2x Dark Horus2x Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord2x Sky Scourge Norleras1x Demise, King of Armageddon2x Gandora the Dragon of Destruction1x Gorz, Emissary of Darkness1x Rare Metal Dragon2x Infernal Dragon1x Dark Grepher2x Phantom of Chaos Spells - 221x A Feather of the Phoenix2x Allure of Darkness1x Burial from the Different Dimension1x Card Destruction3x Dark World Dealings2x Dragon's Mirror3x Hand Destruction2x Recurring Nightmare2x Serial Spell2x Super Rejuvenation3x Trade-In Extra Deck- 33x Five-Headed Dragon Tech choices: Dragons, in particular--They're to work with Super Rejuvenation. Gandora, Norleras, and Demise--They're the field-wipers with Phantom of Chaos, allowing for my Rainbow Dark Dragons to step up and say "You know, no thanks. I appreciate it, but I'll pass." Gorz, Emissary of Darkness--Sometimes with a deck like this you'll end up with a dead hand and need to hold out a turn. Gorz makes that task much easier. A Feather of the Phoenix--It picks my draw with Norleras, which is usually going to be my Recurring Nightmare, so I can snag back two Rainbow Dark Dragon for the OTK. Burial from the Different Dimension--To place Allured and Phantom of Chaos'd monsters back into the Graveyard, or to net me back 3 for my second Rainbow Dark Dragon if I fall short. Considering I'm using it, I'm thinking of Dark Armed Dragon as well. Serial Spell--If I chain it to a Trade-In, I lose my hand but I draw 4. Usually I'll only have Trade-In, a monster, Serial Spell, and one other card anyway, so it's a mini Card Destruction for me. Also, it's an outlet to discard any stuck Dark monsters in my hand with nowhere to go. Super Rejuvenation--Every Dragon I discard replaces itself with another card on my End Phase, giving me a new hand of 6, more then likely, and taking some of the guess work out of my next turn. When you're out of steam on turn one, it can make turn two a deal-closer. Let's say I only played Card Destruction for three, and they were Dragons. At the end of the turn I played even one copy of Super Rejuvenation, I would have 6 cards. If two, I would have 9 and get to discard some extra fuel for Rainbow Dark Dragon. Five-Headed Dragon--It can come out after Rainbow Dark Dragon, and uses less Dark Dragons from the Graveyard. Really, it's just to be flashy. lordtyson
how much time did it take you to think this complicated but great OTK out
Saiyan Knight
Actually, I thought of it on the fly about 10 minutes before I posted it when I was looking through my binders of rare cards. Haha. I'm glad you guys like it. I actually gave a friend of mine the idea a few months before Phantom Darkness came out. He's an OCG player in Japan who I've recently ceased communications with. He has other things going on and I'm busy a lot and we just kind of lost touch. =/ But, he still cranks out videos on YouTube for different decks. Fun to watch, if you have a bit. I'll link to the video he made about this deck a long time ago if people show interest. Anyway, I took it a step further by using the new format and more cards that weren't out at the time. Hopefully it executes as well as it looks on paper. I haven't proxied it out yet, and I'm missing a few of the cards. Just haven't seemed to find anyone with them for grabs. Still missing-2x Rainbow Dark Dragon1x Dark Horus1x Gandora the Dragon of Destruction1x Gorz, Emissary of Darkness2x Infernal Dragon2x Allure of Darkness If anyone has them, maybe we could MSN or AIM a trade? <
Tabris
Very... interestin', to say the least. Not to mention that that janky card Super Rejuvenation actually got a life.
Saiyan Knight
If you're not sure how to comment on a deck because you don't know what it does, you don't have to be shy about asking how the deck runs.
Tabris
I know how the deck runs (and how powerful it would if we could get REDMD here). A bit of a query here, though: Why not add Future Fusion? Graveyard fodder for PoC and Rainbow Dark.
Saiyan Knight
Because I would Future Fusion into 5 Dragons, and then I have a slew of dead potentially dead Trade-In and Super Rejuvenation, along with less easy choices for Hand Destruction and Dark World Dealings, since I basically just want to run through the deck discarding Monsters. Tabris
Ah, yes - why Demise? Fodder for PoC?
