I am deciding if I should bump this or not.

On the plus side, People seem to like these and actually look at this thread.

On the minus side, I haven't made anything recently so I have nothing to to show.

The thing is, by posting this reply, the thread has already been bumped, making this post useless.

Thanks, first of all.

Yeah, in Green Day I actually hav a big problem with the fire; the 2nd flame does not look like it's goin behind the tail as much as it should.

The Bulbasaur Re-type is actually set up the same way as the original.

In the original sprite, the 'bulb' appears behind the bulbasaur, with all of bulbasaurs body parts bordered, therefore this cannot change.

Also, as I'm sure you've noticed, the volcano uses a different color scheme than the rest of the body, deleting the borders would make the colors look more of a shade, by doing so the Volcano would appear extremely flat. I'll admit that I'm actually not sure of what or where you mean that, so if I'm praying on the wrong area, please correct me.

On a side note, unneeded only has 2 n's ^_^

Ooooh, pretty!

And as stated before, SpiderPig = Win.

Im not great at splices, so i can't really give good advice apart from a virtual encouraging punch on the shoulder, and say keep it up.

Oh, and a Beezor isn't a poison, it's a stone found in the stomach of a Goat that can cure most poisons, as seen in Half-Blood Prince when Ron gets... Okay, I'll spare you the HP lecture but you were half way there. :P

GD is kind of neat, but at the same time has too much going as you could guess. It's cool you could fit that many things together, but if the result doesn't quite mean much, it's hard to say if validated. Flaming back, jet wings, aquatic tail, and stuff just don't seem to fit together, everything distracts the eyes. Another flaw is how some of it flows together, like with the white things on the back. They just all are different textures, but at the same time seem to camouflage. I'm also not a fan of green fire. It could look really awesome if things were just calmed down a bit.

Fire Bulbasaur reminds me of this volcano Torterra I once saw. The volcano Torterra I'm sorry to say was done a bit better. One reason might be that yours is a little smaller, less room to work with. The flowing lava is nice, but due to its sporadic nature, and it covering what seems like more than half of Bulbasuar, it's hard to make things out. It almost looks like random fire colors dots on top of Bulbasaur. The lava coming out of the top also seems odd to me, also the say it is colors. If it's in mid eruptions there should me smoke, spurts of lava maybe, but a giant blob, almost like a bubble, doesn't quite look right. Also a general rule of thumb, if you have to explain what something is, generally you didn't portray it right. I'm referring to the inside of the mouth. It doesn't quite look like bubling magma, more like all that lava is seeping into his mouth.

I'm surprised at you Zeroshot. I can't believe I would find unrecolored borders on one of your displayed splices. Poor ghost shaymin is looking a little green around the leaf and back legs =P. Aside from the small error, it's pretty good. The ghost spirit energy stuff though seems a little blocky to me, not quite as flowy as I would expect it to be.

I want to say you should post all your work that you make. I want to say by doing so you can get helpful critique and pointers on them. I'm figuring though if you won't post them because you know they aren't par with these others, you know their issues. So if you do post them, I'd be happy to critique them and stuff. Also you'd be surprised at how some people can actually like you're bad work. There have been a few of my own that I don't get why some people like them.

-Insert extremely long post here-

Yeah, I agree that GD is very crowded, wasn't really thinking of that when it was created.

You know how, most of the time, a splicer would get the idea, get the pokemon, splice it, then name it?

I was extremely bored, needed to update my splicing thread, I got the name of my favorite band, found pokemon who's name included the letters I needed and put it all together, then spliced it.

I still have no idea what it is and I see your point, What could it be? A bearded-airplane-turtle-fish? Sounds kinda epic once you think about it but-...the point is yes, it's crowded.

I saw that Torterra too. Kinda what I based it on. The colors are pretty much the same, for that matter. Maybe to fix it, cut down on the lava flows? I originally thought that the volcano not erupting would be better, but that didn't make much sense to me, if the volcano is inactive, why would there be lava?

Uncolored borders....You know, there are 2 colors I hate in this type of work, Dark Green and Dark Purple, they both look too much like black and are hard to see after you've already spent awhile working on something that would turn out that small anyway. Anyway, I've fixed the borders the best I could see, thanks for pointing that out.

I'll consider posting some of my rejected splices, but as you said, I already know what's wrong with them, I don't want to 8 other people to point it out.

I do a lot of requests, so I know what you mean with Greenday. Almost everyone of my splices I know the pokemon before I have any idea on the end sprite. The few times I think about the end result are on things like my Trogdor or Link splice. Not knowing the end result can be tough.

Less lava could help. Keeping it active is fine, just add some smoke and stuff as I said.

As for you inability to see those colors, perhaps you're color blind =/, or I'm just way too good at seeing that type of mistake, it is a pet peeve of mine.

If you know what's wrong, you don't have to. Then again as I like to think when splicing, if you know what's wrong with it, fix it.
