Keos, Legendary Wolf Spirit

Nice to see another wolf in card form.

But anyway:

Grammar: 9.5/10 (Impressive grammar. The only exceptions is the use of "Stars", which isn't used in the card game. Perhaps this may help, "You can Tribute 1 Level 4 or higher monster you control to negate the activation and effect of a Trap Card or Effect Monster that...". I am impressed by the use of proper capitalization and close-to-exemplary grammar.)

Artwork: (This will have no impact on your score. I'm just glad to see certain card images taken online WITHOUT any texts or watermarks on it.)

Power: 9.0/10 (Hmm... Just one thing that bothers me is the overall power of the monster. The ATK is notably high for an effect monster with little-to-no limits to its power. You can either lower the ATK to 2800 or add a summoning condition, such as "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by [insert condition here]." Also, the effect is notably overpowered, as Level 4 monsters are the most commonly used monster in the entirety of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game and Trading Card Games, but then again, that all depends on how many Level 4 monsters you can bring onto the field.)

Overall: 9.5 Outstanding! (Nicely done single card, FJC. Whether or not you chose to take my advice or not is sincerely up to you. Either way, this still is a good card I am looking at.

:) Nice to see I helped out a bit. The ATK may be a little lower, but it balances with a nice effect that can protect itself or even other powerful monsters should you chose to Tribute "Keos, Legendary Wolf Spirit" itself. With this comes the possibility of Special Summoning it back from the Graveyard for another round.

Thank you for taking my advice to mind.

  • 4 years later...

Hopefully it's not against the rules to gravedig this baby (my first card if I'm not mistaken). Just curious if you guys think this card is still up to par with today's rules and all.

You necro bumped by 4 years..... There are exceptions to the necrobumping rule, but 4 frikin years. You shoulda just made a new topic.

..... First off, I'm a guy. Secondly, don't worry about me; worry about the mods who might see this.

Unfortunately for me. Then again I still don't understand why that date could have any significant impact on the post. The numbered day associated with a fictional Yu-Gi-Oh card shouldn't bare upon it an expiration date...

Oh, and I was aware of your gender when making that first reply, ma'am.
