So, why did the Jedi want a Chosen One to bring balance to the Force?

Like I said, it will not be peace, but a maintained state of conflict that will keep the ideals & interests of both sides intact.

The Sith Lord were sadly too stupid to do this method & the Jedi were not looking too deeply into the matter of the Balance...

Well that's obvious for Sidious. You really think he wanted a compromise? That word does not exist in his vocabulary

Sidious refers to insidious, which is controlling.

This corresponds to his ideals of conquest of the galaxy; he would be blind to a compromise.

If only the Sith is led by a wise being who maintains the Sith's true dogma, then it would be possible.

And it also seems that it blocks out their common sense too since some Siths were dumb enough to use a suicide tactic in a losing battle when Bane believed that they could win if they combined their powers as one force.

I thought during that revolution no sith wanted to work together with one another

During the last battle, Bane suggested the uniting powers thing. But the other Siths were paranoid that he wanted to drain their powers & then another one suggested a kamikaze bomb to destroy all life at one go.

And why Sidious was forced to revert back to the jedi way on that account

You mean the Emperor's Hand system?

They were never official Sith, only he & Vader were given that right.

Those idiots were just dark jedi minions who have no right to learn sith arts & only limited to general dark side techniques.

that rule of 2 Sidious only followed because it served his benefits for the time being

The Rule of 2 is intended to strengthen the Sith by eliminating internal struggles down to only the Master's agenda & the Apprentice's betrayal plans.

Sidious is cautious enough to follow the Rule of 2 so that he may ensure victory. He only took Dooku in because he needed his power to rule the Separatists army while having designs for Anakin already.

But Anakin didn't turn the moment he killed Dooku. Which brings me to another Q: if he didn't turn the moment he killed Dooku' date=' why did Sidious think Luke would turn the moment he killed his father?

[/quote']

Jedis only go to the Dark Side only when they are under a lot of rage & negative feelings.

To Anakin, killing Dooku meat nothing. Sidious used Padme to get to Anakin & promised him the secrets of life restoration by submitting himself to the Dark Side.

However, Sidious believed that Luke would in under tremendous rage when fighting against his very father AKA his enemy & that would be good enough to convert him.

is that the reason why Anakin instead informed Mace instead of killing Sidious on the spot?

And remember' date=' if Luke was under that much rage when his father said if he won't turn then perhaps his sister will, he would have delivered the killing blow the moment he cut his father's mechanical hand off

[/quote']

Yes, Anakin believed what Sidious said to him.

Luke made the first strike at Vader's hand, but then later stopped his attack when he recalled what Yoda said & what happened in the Dark Side Cave.
