Overextending (S/T zone)

Good or bad?

 

It happened to me a couple of time this week. I have 2 traps no solemn judgement. For this example I'll use torrential tribute and phoenix wing wind blast. I set wing blast since my hand is strong and I'm hoping to spin a backrow. My opponent then goes MST and kills me. If I had set the other one I would have survived.

 

Clearly here I could have set both and survived, but my opponent could have drawn heavy storm instead of mst with nothing to kill me.

 

What do you do in these situations. Give some scenarios of game you've played if you can.

Gorz the Emissary of Darkness (lets say you have it in your hand)

Stardust Dragon (who can obviously stop storm but can get brain controled)

Also, try to take in account if you know the matchup you're in or not.

for the trap dustshoot i would use it after my opponent draws then just pick off somthing they might have summoned

Bad unless everything's chainable.

It's not overextending if done with chainables that can all be chained at the same time.
