The_Prince_of_Death
i completely agree with you guys. I just cant come up with a reason why suicide should be illegal other than that. I also like the comment Crab, you made everyone around me laugh (literally). and ragnarok1945 you can see how hard it is to say a theory on how someone can be accused for suicide, right? Anybody, if there is a way some one would be accused for suicide please tell.
ragnarok1945
I think a therapist can easily tell such symptoms, and that should be enough to at least begin the accusations until proven wrong (which also isn't too hard either)

The_Prince_of_Death
A therapist talks to people and asks them questions(ex: "How do you feel about that" or "describe your life to the fullest detail you can"), sometimes causing somebody to commit suicide. ragnarok1945
that's more detecting suicidal symptoms to see if you're nearing it. That way the therapist can try to dissuade you from doing so
CrabHelmet
Guys, I heard therapists tend not to try to get their patients to kill themselves whether or not suicide is illegal.
ragnarok1945
so they'd rather just sit there and do nothing instead? Not exactly worthy of their position if that's true
The_Prince_of_Death
to say a fact: approximately 9% of a therapist's patients kill themselves because of the therapist.
ragnarok1945
shouldn't that be because they took the therapist's advice the wrong way? Do the other 91% have their situations improve?
CrabHelmet
to say a fact: approximately 9% of a therapist's patients kill themselves because of the therapist. [citation needed] Anyhow, why would a law against suicide make any difference here? Would the therapists try harder if suicide was illegal? Guest PikaPerson01
Aren't most anti-suicide laws merely leftovers from a long gone, overly Christian eras? I can't come up with a decent enough reason to make attempted suicide punishable.
ragnarok1945
well what good is just knowing the symptoms if you're not going to do anything about it?
Willieh
What the hell? You people have changed the topic completely :| Obviously therapy is a personal choice. Like Crab said, I doubt that the therapist ever tries to get the patient to kill their self. I just now noticed something. Therapist is spelled "the rapist". This topic is now about therapists who turned out to be rapists.
ragnarok1945
it's not trying to get the patient to kill themselves, that could happen if the advice is taken in the wrong way.

ragnarok1945
it doesn't, I was still going on the topic of suicide. Now you explain to me how therapists become undercover rapists

On topic: How about we stop because it is mostly pointless to answer the question on how suicide should be illegal because the topic keeps going of course. how about have a mod lock it and stop have us from changing the topic that will only lead us to nowhere except another answer to another question that isn't related to the topic. Azmodius
Having laws against suicide would be good. Example:emo kid: I wanna kill myselfPolice: stop right there!Emo kid: i;m gonna jump off the building.emo is about to jump.Police: sorry thats illigle. I;m gonna have to take you in.Emo kid. D'ohAnd that brings the suicide rate down.Remember kids, instead of going to hell you could go to jail!
ragnarok1945
that's more going to turn the public against the police for trying to take away their free will (to some extent)
