Because, believe it or not, it would have some type of crazy affect on the world that the government probably would rather not deal with.

 

The government cares about you, and they also care about how you affect the world. Killing yourself doesn't have any beneficial changes, so the government makes it illegal and tries to help people.

How could legalizing suicide POSSIBLY help anything? If they can't prosecute you for killing yourself IT'S NOT EVEN ILLEGAL. Think about it; if I go outside and kill myself, and they can't do anything about it, is it illegal? NO. They just want to help you get over this whole "I want to kill myself" bullshit.

 

Get over this whole "The government hates me and won't let me die!!!" because it's not illegal to assertively kill yourself.
