As with the Pokeymanz Red topic, this is a copy-paste of someone's playthrough of a Pokemon game, this time Pokemon TCG. Yes, they made a video game out of the card game of the video games. >_> This playthrough is actually complete, but it would be far too much to post all at once (and would spark tl;dr's), so I'll be reposting it one part at a time, in the same way that it was originally posted. The first segment is short, so the next one will be up later today.

 

 

 

 

 

That's right. Pokémon Trading Card Game, for the GameBoy Color.

 

Essentially, the game is about some dudes who call themselves the Grand Masters looking for one player worthy of getting four pieces of cardboard with a cute image on it - The Legendary Cards. For that, one must fight 8 guys called Club Masters, and to get to play cards with them, you must beat the lackeys.

 

In a nutshell: PLAY and WIN

I won my first rigged game and left Dr. Mason's Lab! Awesome!

 

 

First things first. "CHARMANDER & FRIENDS DECK" is a ridiculous name. So...

 

ACRE'S ELEGANT DECK

 

aww yeah

 

Charmander's deck is a Fire/Lighting/Fighting/Normal deck. I recommend only one or two-types deck. <_<

 

And we also have some grass, water and barely any psychic, but those are unselected.

 

Once we get more cards, we will be able to build extra decks! ...But those aren't exactly useful.

 

Since we mainly use fire, let's try the Grass Club!

 

 

Episode 2: Medal 1: The Grass Club

Sometimes, Dr. Mason will send you mails telling you how to beat a certain Club Master or simply telling you how to play the game for the nth time. But no one cares about that! The thing is that the mails come with Booster Packs (10 cards - One rare, three uncommon and six common). Don't ask me how!

 

About Booster Packs, there are four types of them: Colosseum (like this one), Evolution, Mystery and Laboratory. The difference between each one is the Pokémon you can get.

 

This time, we got a Pinsir, Kadabra, Charmeleon, Raticate, and a bunch of other cards I'm lazy to mention.

 

Yes, Dr. Mason always ends his mails like that.

I attached Fire energy to Charmander and Scratch for 10. Pikachu used Thunder Jolt for 30 damage and took 10 damage due to tails. I attached a lightning energy to Charmander.

 

aww yeah. The prize was a Fire Energy.

 

Yeah, Charmander got knocked out. <_<

 

BEFORE YOU THINK I CHEATED, lemme tell you I used a pluspower.

Anyway! Knocked out Charmander and drew another Growlithe.

 

Brittany placed a Charmander which suffered 40 damage before retreating.

My turn again. I attached a lighting energy to Pikachu and passed. Heather evolved Eevee into Jolteon and attempted Double Kick.

 

However, Pikachu prefers to see the table rather than Heater's face.

 

Attached a Fire energy and attacked. Heather attached a Double Colorless energy (**) to Porygon.

 

You know, I should check my opponent's bench from now on. <_<;

 

Jolteon did 20 damage to Growlithe. I placed a Charmander (I have a Charmeleon in hand) in the bench. Cured Growlithe with the potion and attacked.

 

...Oddly enough, my next turn was exactly the same. Drew Charmander, attack with Flare.

But we won't have any of that!

 

Drew a Magnemite, placed in the bench. Attached another fire energy to Charmander and used scratch for another 20 damage.

 

Nikki uses Bill AGAIN and places ANOTHER Bulbasaur in bench. Attached a grass energy to it. Used hypnosis.

 

Once again, we won't have any of that!

 

Hah!

 

Slashed Exeggute and claimed the first prize - a fire energy.

 

Nikki attached a grass energy to the benched Bulbasaur and passed. "ok"

I drew Bill, used it, and slashed Bulba. Second prize.

 

This is...so awesome.
