IT COUNTS AS A VOLCANIC MONSTER WHILE HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ARCHETYPE. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

 

Really, who Tribute Sets level 8 monsters? I feel dumb Tributing to set Hade-Hane, and to a lesser extent, Guardian Sphinx.

 

If you Tribute Set a 2-tribute monster, I'm pretty sure your opponent is going to think something is up. It kills a whole lot of usefulness to be a Tribute Monster with a Flip Effect, that's why there's, like, none but Hade-Hane and Nobleman-Eater Bug. And we know how good those are. (If there's any I didn't name, think about the fact that NOBODY USES THEM.)

 

I made a card with a similar effect of taking all cards and then returning them. The only problem with that is that you get to know all of each other's face-down cards, or else you're never going to know whose cards are whose. Unless it's intentional with him being a Level 8 and all, it's a mis-step in the effect planning.

 

As for the effect... wow, it's extremely underpowered. You're basically destroying 1 random card on the field, which can include himself. Like, really, a Level 8 flip? Nobleman Eater destroys 2 monsters, Hade-Hane bounces 3, and this... destroys 1 at random.

 

The last effect of removing 5 random Graveyard cards seems to be the only thing noteworthy about this card, and really, that's not even too much to write home about.

 

This could've just as easily been a Level 4 monster, for the incredibly weak effect. If you Tribute Set this, and end up blowing yourself up with its effect, you have effectively wasted those Tributes and should be frowned upon for using this.

 

There are some OCG errors, too, but I've torn this card up enough to let you go. You're a cool guy, and it's a Rock-type. Rocks rock, so that's where I'll end.

i like the pic but it is shocking to see a flip effect on 2 tribute monster and then for it 2b so underp'd im going to over look some of it do and give this card a 6.5/10

Blah, being 5 stars is no fun anymore...you people who actually know what you're talking about come and beat up my ego, lol.

 

Knowing all the set cards was intentional.

To conclude, I know this isn't even close to my best stuff, lol. I wasn't trying particularly hard (otherwise I wouldn't have made a flip >.> I usually have trouble writing those). Just wanted to do something different, I wanted a card on frontpage, and there was a contest. That's why I'm not in my corner crying right now :P

I dunno...the pic had a giant rock man jumping out of the ground, I tried to make the effect reflect that.

 

And I totally forgot that volcanic is an archetype. D:

I was going for the alliteration. XD

Still, I think this is the first 3/10 I've gotten since joining/rejoining this site. :q
