INTRODUCTION[spoiler=]This is a second installment of cAde2009’s contest. Now this particular contest is different from my very first contest the “New Years Contest” because this particular one will be a 1 on 1 contest duel between the contestants that are competing in it. Now I know that there’s no section on YCM that allows you to pick cards from your created cards collection and make them into a deck and duel like in real life so in this contest I’ll be attempting to do this. The contestants for this competition will have to create a 40-card deck from their created cards collection (Same goes for me) and the contestants (including myself) will duel like in real life but on this contest thread only. Now you’re probably asking to yourself “how are we gonna conduct an actual duel on a forum thread?”. Now I’ve planned the whole layout of this contest in my head for the last three weeks and read below this intro to find out how to duel on this contest’s Forum Thread:

 

 

Contestant Information[spoiler=]There will be five contest groups within the aspect of this competition, only YCM Members Star Levels 2-6 can participate in this contest and if you want to enter in the contest, you can pay whatever fee you want because the winner of the entire competition will get the total amount of Points that were donated to me as the first place prize. The total amount of points that are donated to me will be indicated on a section of this contest called “The Prize Lump Sum”. Now every time a contestant moves on to the next round can add extra points to “The Prize Lump Sum” because if an competitor of a contest wins a round I’ll be giving that particular person two points every time a contestant progresses in the contest.

Also, this contest will be lain out like a Tournament Bracket, if you want to enter this contest place any number of points to “The Prize Lump Sum” and I’ll assign you to a Tournament Group based on your YCM Member Star Level, there are four slots in each group so enter early before all spots are filled. The competitors of this contest will face each other in their own Tournament Group in the First Quarter Finals Round, and whoever wins the First Quarter Finals Round will move on to face the other winners of their Tournament Group in the Second Quarter Finals Round. Then in the Semi Finals Round, the pure winner of each Tournament Group will face each other one on one for example: Winner of Tournament Group Level 2 will face Winner of Tournament Group Level 3 and Winner of Tournament Group Level 4 will face Winner of Tournament Group Level 5. Then there’ll be a Second Semi-Final Round where the pure two winners of the one of the Tournament Groups will face each other. Now, Tournament Group Level 6 is reserved for the Finals, whoever wins the Second Semi-Finals Round will face the pure winner of Tournament Group Level 6. Whoever wins that round will be facing me in the Ultimate Showdown Round where the contestant and I will place 10 points on the “Prize Lump Sum”, if the contestant wins then I’ll give that winner the “Prize Lump Sum” total to his/her points average and I’ll give them 2 reputation points –BUT- if I win the Ultimate Showdown Round then the finalist of this competition will have to give me half of the total from the “Prize Lump Sum” and the finalist will have to give me two reputation points.

 

 

 

Ground Rules[spoiler=]1.) YCM Members Levels 2-6 can only participate in this contest

2.) When the contestants are signed into their Tournament Group and all spots are filled, each contestant will have to PM me their Created Cards Deck Layout that they are planning on using in this contest, the contestants will also have to PM to their opponent their Deck Layout List each time when a Duel starts or a competitor moves on to a next round. My Deck Layout is shown on the bottom of this entire thread.

3.) Please be fair and don’t put cards in your deck that you know if they were real would be ban from a real Yu Gi Oh Card Tournament.

4.) Monster cards ATK and DEF limits 0-6000 if any contestant posts a card that has over 6000 ATK or DEF will be automatically disqualified.

5.) Visitors or former contestants that were owned by their opponent’s from a past round in the contest that comes across this Contest Thread while it is in progress may wager points into “The Prize Lump Sum”, and at the end of each round; whoever bets the winner will get a share of the points wagered in the “Prize Lump Sum” total by half.

6.) Official Yu Gi Oh Card Game rules apply for this contest

 

 

Deck Submission[spoiler=]Contestants of this competition will have to layout their created cards deck and submit it to me and their opponents (PM ONLY!) my Created Cards Deck Layout List is shown on the bottom of this entire thread so check it out when the competition starts. This is to assure that nobody will create cards during the duration of the Duel and in this contest that conduct is considered cheating. If a contestant posts a card on this Contest’s thread that’s not on his or her’s Deck Layout List will be disqualified and in the Ultimate Showdown Round if I were to do this, then I’ll forfeit the Duel and my opponent will get the Prize. Be sure to create cards that you want in your deck ahead of time before submitting it into the contest.

 

 

Player's Status[spoiler=]Every time you end your turn you must post this Player’s Status Form:

You must put the increases or decreases of numbers into the categories of this form whenever an activity changes in your respective Duel.

 

 

 

Field[spoiler=]I’m attempting to make this 1 on 1 Duel Contest as realistic as possible so I’ve inspired this Field Status Form from based on the actual Dueling Format Field from the official card game:

You must post this Field Status Form in your respective duels.

If you set a monster card on a monster zone on the Field Status Form in faced down ATK or DEF mode you must imply that onto one of the monster zones of the cards by typing in next to the zone “faced down ATK or DEF Position [/occupied]”. But if you set a Monster card in faced up ATK or DEF position on one of the monster zones, you must imply that by showing the entirety of the card on the thread. The same goes for Spells and Traps. You must also imply that if a card has a counter on it or if you placed a token onto the field, for Example:

Drudge Soldier “Faced Up ATK Position” [2 Counters]

 

 

 

Coin Toss/Dice[spoiler=]If any of the contestant’s monsters requires a coin toss or dice roll, they must conduct the following:

Coin Toss: The owner of the monster who has an Coin Toss effect will have their opponent choose a number between 1-5 that their opponent guesses, if the owner of the card guesses right, they conduct the heads portion of the effect, if they guessed wrong, they conduct the tails portion of the effect.

Dice Roll: The owner of the monster who has a Dice Roll effect will have to choose a number between 1-6 if it’s only one die, but if it’s two dies, 1-12. The owner of that card picks a number then the opponent picks another number then the owner of that Dice Roll Effect Monster must add the two numbers together and subtract 1 from the number to roll on that number for the effect of that monster.

 

 

 

Hand Cards[spoiler=]You may have any cards in your hand from your chosen Created Cards Deck as long as you have five cards in your hand unless a card effect allows you to have five or more cards in your hand.

 

 

Decks and Hands in the Duel[spoiler=]If a card effects allows you or your opponent to show him or her your deck or hand, you must show every card from either your hand or deck. For example, if an effect says to show your hand, you post every image of the cards that’s in your hand so that the effect progresses, but if an effect allows a contestant to look in their opponent’s Deck, then that opposing player must post on the thread every image of the cards so the player may choose to do something to the cards from that deck that corresponds with the effect with his or her’s cards.

 

 

Guest Hosting[spoiler=]If anyone is interested in managing the prospects of this contest will have to PM me and donate me 20 points. (But you can’t be a substitute for my entry in the final Ultimate Showdown Round, I’ll be there for that I’ll guarantee it.) While I’m gone, you may manage the progression of this contest like Round Updates, Prize Lump Sum Changes, etc...just PM me about this position. Only 1 spot though...

At the end of the contest I’ll pay you 50 points for managing my contest if I’m absent from managing the contest as my gratitude for helping me out.

 

 

 

Honorary Competitors[spoiler=]Winners of my New Years Contest will have a guaranteed spot on this competition, but if any of you honorary invited contestants would decline this invitation will have to PM me saying you want out or I’ll just let the other competitor that I put you up against move to the next round.
