Raelen
All I'm saying is that some people prefer to see heaven and hell far too extreme' date=' that's why they choose ONLY the afterlife, where there's a balance of good and bad that still awaits you[/quote'] Definitely, it's more comforting. Plus, it gives people an excuse to be bad and do bad things. Well it's not like we've lived a life of doing 100% good things when we die, you know. So obviously for some people, why should the afterlife be 100% good or 100% bad? Of course we're not 100% good. That's why you need to trust in Jesus Christ your savior to forgive your sins. Anyways, back on topic.

And for the rotting, that's only for those who don't get cremated and just buried (besides, there's also something called the embalming process to slow down this rotting)
The Dark One
Christianity The belief that some Jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically cannibalize his flesh while telepathically telling him that he is your master, so that he can remove an evil force from a mysterious energy version of you that will, of course, exist after you die. This evil force is present in humanity, because some rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat an apple from a magical tree. It makes perfect sense. Actually, I have nothing against religion, though I don't see suficient evidence to believe in one. This is, of course, the nature of religion. It's a leap of faith, and one that I'm no comfortable making. However, it's really no more or less likely for there to be a God or an afterlife than for there not to be. It's all completely unprovable, and while it's a logical fallacy to present negative proof, that fallacy only exists to prevent us from believing that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is set on devouring us in our dreams, and other such silly things. But really, who's to say that there isn't a Flying Spaghetti Monster? Our senses don't support such a concept, but our senses could be flawed. And talking about souls outside the context of religion is meaningless.

Also, look at creation. It's almost absurd that it would be created by accident. It brings a quote to mind..."The universe was created from nothing...which exploded."While there may not be definite proof, it makes a lot of sense and explains a lot. Akira
Yes, that is what the guy meant when he said it. Now you're supposed to discuss your beliefs in relation to that and whether you agree or not >.>
Skuldur
I agree with it. It's just human nature not wanting to die, therefore, they made up the so called Afterlife so they could comfort themselves with the "fact" that there is a life after this one. Metal Lord
If we're not careful, we're all gonna end up like in 'One Weak.' Anyway, I'm Christian and listen to what MR PERFECT Q8 has to say really. I've seen interviews with former athiests who died (Sometimes up to three days, no brain activity, NOTHIN') and they said they all went to Hell. I can tell they weren't lying, because they all had fear in they eyes and a tremble in their voice. They are now all converted Christians. We should believe what we should choose to believe and not try stuff like this thread where it could cause uneasy feelings. Remember -- One weak. Skuldur
Either he had very bad doctors who didn't know the difference between living and dead.was in a coma which indicates it was all just a dream or something.or this is all just a huge ass lie and you're so gullible that you believe it. Metal Lord
No, no, they all died. One was hit by a car and pronouced dead at the scene (his friends were doctors, so I don't think they'd funk up.) The iris began moving which meant life. Metal Lord
I stated my opinion and then defended them. You started to debate; Indeed, it takes two to fight, but one fights to defend.
