ok The Real United States of America!

(no i am not talking about the county that G.W.Bush ran in to the dirt/no that BBC special.)

i am talking about Canada, the US, Mexico, and all of the other states of South America. Why can't we join forces together, like the European Union? a United Europe is possable and is happening but why not a united America? i live in Texas and well i see allot of immigrants be it legal or illegal i don't care, but i see them all the time, i mean the U.S has money, jobs, and stuff that Mexico dose not have. But what they have i gold, people who want to be here and most needed to U.Sers now is Oil! Mexico has that but is to poor to mine it let alone sell it. but if joined the U.S(you know what U.S is a bad term its for "U.S.A" lets make it U.A. United America.)If it Joined the UA then it could get jobs for its people and make the UA richer and them selves richer. And next we have Canada in the north full of trees and people that speak English. Right next to it is Alaska are little ice friend up there, not connected to the U.S but is a part of. We mine lumber and/or oil but when we have to go around Canada. Why not make Canada a part of U.A? (we could have universal health care. Well with Obama maybe.)But that way they get a piece of the pie and it gets a shorter line.More Oil! And i ask this when was the last war between any South American county ? its all nice and calm down there. but yet we the United States of America fighting a sticken religious/oil war with several middle east counties for no resign what so ever.We should be working on the home front not in a desert.

if Europe can do it why can't we?

discuses...

I can sum this topic up in one sentence.

No.

[/topic]

why not?

1. The European Union isn't one singular country.

2. United America?

3. Mexico can look after itself.

4. Getting around Canada is easy. It is a nice little thing we call airplanes.

5. South America is a continent, not a country. Even if it was, it wouldn't have states.

6. Joining every single country on every single continent in North and South America into one country is damn well impossible.

2. No.

3. You tell me.

4. Futile argument. A lot of them don't.

5. Good.

6. I don't quite understand why you don't seem to grasp the concept that these are two continents, with countries with different politics, different cultures, different disputes. Forming then into one country? No. Just no.

Companies would oppose this, because then they can't get cheap labor from Mexico.

Mexico would oppose this, because they like being independent.

Canada would oppose this because I'm pretty sure Canada likes being it's own country too.

Adding South America would lower the standard of living dramatically.

tl;dr: No.

well okay maybe your right about south America but the US and Canada are probably the biggest allies in the world... but in the end it is just getting one step closer to a one world Government. is that good or bad. in mine i say good, let the world do it we can finally do something other then fight with each other.
