About the list...

Recommended Posts

We know we have no control over the list. We can complain and hope but it's always konami who has the final word on it. So what can you do when you are a player and you don't like the list?

It's simple you play with that list. There isn't much else you can do beside quitting.

A player in my area said this for last september's ban : "They make the list and I play it."

Who cares if you don't like a broken card was unban. The only thing you can do is play it like everyone else. Enjoy the time you have with the card because it might not be there for more than 6 months. All the players have access to the same card pool so it's those with the best deck and the most skilled players who will win in the end (with some luck involved). If you are stupid enough to want to play an archfiend deck in a competitive level at least accept it when you lose don't go complain that you can't win because the meta is so bad.

Good decks, bad decks, good players, bad players, good lists, bad lists. Well... I'm not sure about the good list part.

You could write to Konami, though I wouldn't envy your chances. The listed cards are often poorly chosen, but they're still easily playable.

Hell if you want, you could round some people up to play in a format you and the other players agreed upon.

OR

you could play traditional.

Trad is still majorly affected by the list. Trad =/= no list.

I play YVD. If my opponent and I agree to some sort of list modification (like banning JD or DAD or CCV or something), then we play with our modified list, not Konami's list. This can be extended, if we feel like it, to using an entirely original list instead of Konami's.

In fact, the list is completely irrelevant everywhere outside of tournament play - and North America no longer has decent tournament play anyhow. So yeah.
