If we evolve, our fingernails are going to be the first thing gone (saw it on Discovery), then our eye-lashes. So start clipping, because we won't have our precious nails one day.

By the way, I'm Catholic, but I still accept the fact that evolution is real and happening. In fact, most Catholics, even priests, believe in evolution. Charles Darwin was, in fact, very Christian, it wasn't until about ten years before his death that he went to agnostic views.

Hooray for Catholism ^_^

But I don't believe in Evolution based on the fact that the chances of life appearing on this one insignificant planet in the middle of nowhere are so astronomically large against us' date=' that us devoloping by mere chance is improbable.

Evolution doesn't work the way Darwin says it does.

come on, surely you can't say EVERYTHING he wrote in his book was wrong. He had to pull his facts from SOME truth

He observed 2 things that were similar and conected them.

It is like saying US cars and Russian cars had the qualities they did based on where they were made.

That's how many people were back then, they take the slightest connection and apply it to everything

actually this is where hitler had it right, he sifted out all the weak ugly stupid, humans, so only the strong ones where left, meanign that all the best traits from humans could be passed down

wheras today, ugly pl breed with other ugly people makign imperfect humans, thus halting human evoloution, all this is because of human emotion

That doesn't mean the right conditions of development are what Darwin said it would be

Who the hell says it has to be an accident to be evolution? Mankind in itself has proven that evolution can be controlled. Look at what we've done to dogs, cats, cows, chickens, horses, and many other types of plants and animals. By selective breeding, we have controlled and evolved animals to our liking and purpose. Who's to say God didn't evolve us from primordial goo?

the better to ask yourself is "is controlled evolution a good thing all the time"

Anyone seen Religulous?

Yeah' date=' religion is the downfall of man.

never saw that, how does it work?

It's a hilarious, offensive, movie.

The truth should not be considered offensive.

no, just unacceptable to the public because they don't want to hear bad news, their ignorance will be their downfall

It's offensive if it offends people.

You can't pick or choose what's offensive.

The public doesn't want to hear bad news? News flash: the media thrives on bad news.

Whether it does offend someone or not, I don't think it should. The fact that something happens does not prove that it should.

The media may thrive on it, but common people want to hear IMPROVEMENTS to their lives, not for the media to tell them 24/7 how their lives will forever be a living hell (though many will accept that answer)
