Help! Hacked? Points? Reps? Member Title? Avatar?

Really simple and quick guide for new members, find the right sub heading for you answers.

-For people unaware of the update or still confused about new features.

 

Hacked? My cards are different! Someone has been making cards on my profile!?

Relax. When the forum switched from MyBB to IPB, some cards were mixed up, if you haven't got them back yet, you will soon.

 

Points? I had loads of points, now I have none. WHERE ARE THEY!?

All points were reset. You can earn points with the following methods:

Posting (+1)

Posting a Thread (+5)

Giving a Rep point (+15)

Receiving a Rep point (+100)

 

Reps? I can't find my Rep points, WAIT, how do I give reps!?

Your Reps are as they were before.

To see reps: on your profile or by clicking the tiny green icon next to your name.

To give a rep: At the bottom right of someone's post you will see the following icons: (give rep)(take rep).

You should only really Rep if someone helps you or creates something you like, abuse of the system will get you punished -.-

 

Member Title? I can't change my old member title!?

Go to your Profile -> Edit Profile -> On that page, scroll down a tiny bit, look for Profile Information. If it's not there, don't worry, a lot of other members have the same problem, it's a bug until fixed.

 

Avatar? How do I change my avatar, I can't find it!?

Profile -> Edit Profile -> on the navigation bar to the left, look for "Change Avatar". Simple :)

WARNING: You Photo only appears on your profile and people's friends lists, your Avatar is a representation of you and is what is shown everytime you post on the YCM forum.

 

See Reps? How do I see who gave me reps and why!?

Sadly, unless you know the post in which you were given reps, you cannot find out. Most members would prefer you to PM them saying you repped them. Just for personal reasons.

Maybe new members should be instantly transported.

But that's been recommended tons of times.

 

2 help threads within 5 minutes, something's gone off.

 

But if one person, asks a question in help about anything here or in yours, then I will flip.

Hey! Thanks for posting this, I figured most things myself, but a litlle help is always welcome.

 

Just to know, is there a way to see the rep list again? Aka, those who gave me a rep, the lines that say why, etc.

As of now I can only see: "REP: 10 -- Good"

Actually you can't see who gave you reps (or why) unless you see the post.
