Please somebody needs to Stop Me from doing Archetypes~ but please no ban :(

Anyways what do we have here: Archetype Number 5 oh yeah - So whats this Archetype all about?

Well there was this Origami Card Post so it came to my mind lets make a Archetype about that.

This Archetypes Signiature Tactic is that they all can all be Recycled and Replaced by other "Secret Origami" Cards. I tried to make this Archetype playable but not to strong and keeping the Idea of an Origami Like Playstyle by well folding the Paper into Different Shapes and Stuff.

While I like the concept, if you said you want to make it "playable but not too strong," you already missed the point, because to be honest, this archetype can even be considered too powerful.

All of the Origami monsters have:

1. Majespecter/Kozmo-esque protection from effect

2. ABC/Burning Abyss-esque float effect upon sent to the Graveyard, no matter where from, and unlike BAs, not HOPT (absolute once per turn)

3. Trigger effect upon Summoning

4. Gladiator Beast-esque effect that switches place with another monster of your choice, therefore triggering point 3 again.

the strongest ones among the Main Deck monsters might be Origin Paper and Shinobi. Origin Paper searches anything and Special Summon it, which in turn also searches something else. Koi and Shinobi are particularly powerful targets for Origin's effect. Koi can search for the Field Spell that instantly special summon another Origami from your hand, thus instant setup for Extra Deck play, preferably Synchro because it triggers the float effect of two Materials, and then Special Summon 2 of them again to the field. Which you can also target Origin Paper to start the cycle again.

Then Devil or Angel can shuffle the last Origami monster in grave for another plus effect, then you can fuse all three of them into Phoenix. Which is a 4000 ATK beatstick that can also +1 quite easily, and also have a "refund" float effect upon sent to the Graveyard. (which can search Origin Paper)

Also, Origin Paper can also be recycled with cards like Kinka-byo or Limit Reverse, if your field is not empty.

Some possible ways to tone down their effectiveness:

1. Remove 1 or more of the four points listed before.

2. Add an absolute once per turn clause to their effects ("You can only activate/use this effect of ... once per turn")

3. Tone down some of the stronger cards in the archetype, for example Origin Paper, Angel, or Devil. For example by making the monsters Special Summoned by their effect has their effects negated (so they can't start a chain of massive advantage).

Don't let it make you down though. The concept itself is interesting, it just needs some major tweaking if you want to keep it "not too strong" like you intended.

Good luck!

Thanks for your Opinion well it looks like they really are to strong - but are they to strong for the current meta? but well yeah im can turn down some Effects~ i hope for better - What i Changed: Effects Protect from Targeting by Card Effects means : Raigeki and Such can Still hit them - Origin Paper : Once Per Duel - Some Minor Changes

They are definitely too strong for the current meta due to Origin Paper's effect not being limited to (absolute) once per turn.

Shinobi is powerful too. It has 1800 ATK (a respectable stat) that is searchable by ROTA, banishes upon summon, have a float effect that can fetch another copy of itself (or Origin Paper. Yes Origin Paper is that strong lol), and cannot be intercepted with targeting/destroying effects. Let alone this archetype, any deck would love to put this card in them.

Limiting their effects to once per turn can help tone them down a lot, but even with that, they are still rather overpowered.

Origin's devastating effect is not the Special Summoning itself from hand/grave, but the effect that fetches another Origami from Deck. It is devastating because the other cards also have instant +1 effects that trigger upon summoning. These summon effect and float effects are the ones that should have the frequency limitation.

Okay what i have done now is - They cant Special Summon them Self at the End Turn per Effect - Also the Effect then they Get Special Summoned only works Once per Duel Now! i hope this will make them Slower and Much more Fairer without making them to Unusable!

The first one is definitely a good change. At least it will be less revolving around Origin Paper.

The second one might be too far, you don't need to restrict them into once per duel. You can change them into just limited to being absolutely once per turn (the wording "You can only activate this effect of [card name] once per turn"). Or, either remove their trigger-on-summon or having the cards that Special Summon mention "with their effects negated." Effectively it will be the same result when Special Summoning, but which route you take will make a difference when Normal Summoning.

Of course, these are just some feedback -- you don't have to absolutely follow it. You can also experiment on your own or tweak with the concept your own way ;-)

Yeah i changed it back and did some other Tweaks it would be great if some Other People would give they Opinion on the Updated version now - I still try to find a Perfect Balance without completly ruining my Thoughts of this Archetype
