"Abstract" Fusion Monster Cards
 
"Abstract" Fusion Monster Cards are a new Monster Card Type that all share the common theme of being personifications of immaterial or imaginary things, such as dreams, virtues, mythology, fantasies, and more. The monsters are placed in the Extra Deck at the beginning of each duel, similar to Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Link Monsters, and can only be Special Summoned properly via an Fusion Summon.

"Construct" /kawn-strukt/ Continuous Spells Cards
 
"Construct" Continuous Spell Cards are a new Spell Speed 1 Spell Card that stays on the field once they are activated. All "Construct" Continuous Spell Cards share a similar first line effect (similar to Ritual Spell Cards and cards that Fusion Summon).
 
Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 "Abstract" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Materials.
 
A single copy of a "Construct" Continuous Spell Card can only be used to Fusion Summon 1 "Abstract" Fusion Monster once per turn. After one use, the card needs a turn to 'recharge'. Multiple copies of the same card, however, can be used during the same turn, unless otherwise specified.

Linked Zones
 
Linked Zones are any Zones that are pointed to by Link Markers on Link Monsters. Any monsters occupying such Zones are considered to be linked to the Link Monster whose Link Marker is pointing to them. If a Main Monster Zone is currently a Linked Zone, a player can Special Summon monsters from their Extra Deck to those Zones.

Fusion Summon
 
An Fusion Summon requires 4 conditions to be met.
 
1. Control a "Construct" Continuous Spell Card in a Spell/Trap Card Zone.
 
2. The Main Monster Zone, or/and Extra Monster zone, or/and Linked Zone must be unoccupied.
 
3. A player must control cards listed as Fusion Materials in the Fusion Material Box on the "Abstract" Fusion Monster.
 
4.  A card listed as an Fusion Material on an "Abstract" Fusion Monster must be in the Main Monster Zone, or/and Extra Monster zone, or/and Linked Zone.
 
If all of these conditions are met, you do not have to special summon an "Abstract" Fusion monster into the extra monster zone or a linked zone.
 
When an "Abstract" Fusion Monster is Summoned from the Extra Deck, they must first be placed in the Extra Monster Zone or Linked Zone. The "Abstract" Fusion Materials used to Summon an "Abstract" Fusion Monster can be in either a Main Monster Zone, or/and an Extra Monster Zone, or/and a Linked Zone.
 
"Abstract" Fusion Monsters can be moved manually to its Main Monster Zone(s) by sending any Link Monster(s) to the Graveyard(s). Once they are moved this way, they cannot be placed manually back into the Linked Zone(s). Upon being summoned from the extra deck to the field, "Abstract" Fusion monster become unbound by their Fusion materials and can exist regardless of the positions of other cards on the field. If an "Abstract" Fusion monster is properly summoned and then sent to the Graveyard or banished, it can be Special Summoned to any position on the field. Any Fusion Material that is listed in the Fusion Material Box can be used for an Fusion Summon, regardless of whether or not they have been previously been to perform another Fusion Summon.

Number One (1) - "Construct - Protect" - Field Spell Card
 
If a "Abstract" Fusion Monster (even if it is face-down) would be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to Extra Monster zone or/and Linked Zone on the Field, as a Fusion Monster Card, you can place that "Abstract" Fusion Monster in the Main Monster Zone instead, also, after that, you can select that same "Abstract" Fusion Monster on the field, then, if all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon all of them. You can select 1 Link Monster you control, also, after that, send it to the Graveyard. Non-"Abstract" Monsters in the Linked Zone(s) cannot attack or be attacked, cannot change their position, and their effect(s) are negated. "Abstract" Monsters in these Linked Zones cannot attack or be attacked. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Abstract" Fusion Monster from your Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions. Once per turn: You can select 1 of your banished "Abstract" Fusion Monsters, also, after that, Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position or face-up Defense Position, ignoring the Summoning conditions. You can only activate 1 "Construct - Protect" per turn.

Design Notes Below About The "Construct - Protect" Field Spell Card:
 
If a "Abstract" Fusion Monster (even if it is face-down) would be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to the Extra Monster zone or/and Linked Zone on the field, as a "Abstract" Fusion Monster Card, it can be placed face-up or face-down in the Main Monster Zone instead.
 
Also, after that, that same "Abstract" Fusion Monster on the field, then, if all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon all of them.
 
"Abstract" Fusion Monsters can be moved manually to its Main Monster Zone(s) by sending any Link Monster(s) to the Graveyard(s). Once they are moved this way, they cannot be placed manually back into the Linked Zone(s).
 
Linked Zones
 
The Linked Zones are a new field mechanic that has been added to the traditional field layout. These Linked Zones are located overlapping the Main Monster Zone(s). If a monster is placed in a Linked Zone, the intercepting Main Monster Zone cannot be used. "Non-Abstract" Monsters in the Linked Zone(s) cannot attack or be attacked, cannot change their position, and their effect(s) are negated. "Abstract" Monsters in these Linked Zones cannot attack or be attacked, but maintain their effects. A monster can only be Summoned to the Extra Monster Zone or Linked Zone by Fusion Summon or by the effect of a card that specifically states that the monster can be placed there.
 
Ignoring the Summoning conditions
 
Ignoring the Summoning conditions is a phrase that allows a card effects to Summon a monster regardless of the Summoning conditions written on that Monster Card.
 
Special Summoning by ignoring the Summoning conditions is not considered properly Special Summoning, so if a Nomi or Special Summon-only monster is Special Summoned this way, it cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or if banished.
 
However, even with an effect that ignores the Summoning conditions, Nomi and Special Summon-only monsters cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or if banished unless they have first been properly Special Summoned.
 
The phrase was coined by Kevin Tewart of Upper Deck Entertainment to allow for flexibility when Summoning LV monsters with either "Level Up!" or "Level Modulation", although this term has been applied to many other groups of cards, such as monsters that cannot be Special Summoned and Special Summon-only monsters.

If a WIND monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect: Return it or this card to your hand instead.
