Akira
So my first drum&bass mix, Psychotic Dimension has been removed from Youtube due to a copyright claim by Moving Shadow. This is just stupid, right? I gave credit to all the artists of songs I used in the mix, and it was uploaded as free material... it wasn't as if I was going to sell it and make money without the various artist's permission ¬¬ It's a pain, because Youtube was essentially the easiest way to share my mixes and get feedback from other drum&bass fans =/ Discuss how Youtube are fail. Cin
I know how you feel I make AMVs and have 12 removed for copyright violations even when I've stated clearly I'm doing it for entertainment and that I don't own the songs or the anime used. YT sucks since Google took over it. I only use it for 5Ds eps.
Guest JoshIcy
Umm... When you make AMV's etc, is it not assumed that you already own the music in question? How can you have copyright infringement if that is the case?

When you purchase music, it is valid as long as you state credit (clubs etc should do this), and not sell it/resale. I fail to see where the Terms of Use comes in. Cin
Icy, I do ponder on that too. They should be happy that fans want to use their artists' work creatively and for something they're passionate about. I might eventually start AMVing again. Final Fantasy Revolution
Dailymotion, Myspace, Facebook, and there's always the option of building your own site. Also, YouTube doesn't fail, it's just protecting itself legally. You have to get permission from the artists before even putting it up there for free material. Apocalypse Now
Even though what The Gentleman said was correct and logical I still have to disagree with him cause he's my bro. So YouTube does fail!
JG.
I only use it for finding lulzy videos when I'm bored and 5D's. Otherwise, YouTube is epic fail.

L33t Jenkins
It think it mainly becuase Waner Music Group is hitting youtube hard with it. if any of you know the youtube use J@w and his parody got removed even though he still was not breaking the terms of use law and he made the music himself he didn't just ripp off the disc. I think its really warner music group putting the pressure off youtube. Youtube have to remove the music of AMV's becuase of it. A silent anime fight scene is just not the same without Linkin Park :(
