Rules for Mechanic]Like Tuner monsters, the Ally monster idea is a Sub-Type. Now i know what you may be thinking (unless you have seen these before). but trust me, i needed a Sub-Type to have these be cards. As always, a Sub-Type should have a game mechanic. here are the rules for the Ally monsters: Rule 1: Stacking. This set allows for more than 1 monster to be in a Monster Card Zone. How do you do this? Well, it is as easy as putting one card on top of the other. Simple? thought so. This Stacking ability (hereinafter: Stack) can be performed when you Normal or Special Summon from anywhere. You can Stack from the Graveyard, but only if you have revived the monster with a card like Monster Reborn. It is just like a regular Normal or Special Summon, only instead of it getting a Monster Zone to itself, it can share one with an Ally monster already on the field. This is not mandatory. Rule 2: Attacking. Only the top card of a Stack can attack. if you have two monsters in a Stack you control the bottom monster cannot declare an attack. similarly, only the top card can be attacked. this can be used to your advantage, as you could have a powerful monster protecting a bunch of weaker monsters. Rule 3: Battle Position Continuity. If the battle position of the top monster changes, the entire Stack's battle position changes with it. If you have three monsters in a Stack you control and the top monster gets changed to Defense Position, the other two change to DEF as well. This is to keep all the cards in the same order, which makes it easier to keep track of the monsters on the board. Rule 4: Effect Selection. The opponent can only target monsters on the top of the stack for any effect, such as for an effect like DaD or otherwise. this makes it also gives you an edge against the opponent. however, you can target any Ally monster you control in the Stack for an effect you have, a prerogative of being the commander of the army. Rule 5: Releasing for Summoning. Similarly for Rule 4, if you would like to Advance Summon a monster from your hand you can select any monster in the Stack. If you want to Synchro Summon, your Synchro Material Monsters can be from anywhere in the Stack. The same goes for Fusion and Ritual Summoning. Your opponent can only target the monster in Vector 1 for a release, such as for the effect of Lava Golem. Rule 6: Normal Monsters and other non-Ally monsters. There can be non-Allies in the Stack, but they must be in the bottom Vector. A non-Ally monster cannot be Stacked on top of a Stack you control. That ability is only for the Ally monsters themselves. But an Ally monster can be Stacked on top of a non-Ally monster. This is because they can be Stacked on any monster, not just themselves. The effects of non-Ally monsters below Ally monsters are not negated, they can/will activate like normal. All non-Ally monsters apply to the same rules as the Ally monsters, with the exception of rule 1 of course. They must change their battle position accordingly, they cannot be targeted by effects from the opponent, you can select them for effects you control and for tributing. Rule 7: Effect OCG. You may notice that in the effects of the Ally monsters there is a word, Vector. This is to refer to a specific card in a Stack. Vector 1 is always at the top, even if there is only 1 card in the Stack, and the bottom Vector varies depending on how large the Stack is. A Stack with 3 cards in it has 3 Vectors - the first is on top, the third on bottom, and the 2nd in the middle. Because of this, card Vector numbers can vary, especially if a new monster was Stacked on top of the Stack. XD2. i have the ideas for more allies, and the pics, i just need to put them together. it shouldnt take long now that i dont need to photoshop very much. 3. time. i am a very busy student/boyfriend. :D i might be able to update it tomorrow with 1-2 cards, but most likely i will be able to this weekend. ;) i am doin my best. ;)
