1 Tuning Spell + 1 or more non-Tuning Spell

This card can only be Spell Synched by activating 1 Tuning Spell and 1 Spell Card from your hand. Those card's effects still activate. When this card is Summoned, return 1 Tuning Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand and inflict 1200 points of damage to your opponent.

Activate only by picking up the top card of your Deck. If the card is a Spell Card, activate it. If it's not, send it to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard for Spell Synching, return 1 card on your opponent's side to their hand.

The nature of Spell Synching seems simple enough. Activate a Tuning Spell, pitch another random Spell, get the effect of the Tuning Spell, [then get the effect of the non-Tuning Spell?], then Special Summon the Spell Synchro.

The Spell Synchro is broken. Hi, I'm getting back my Tuning Spell so you can just summon another copy of me. Also, an unnecessary 1200 damage to boot.

It seems more like a Spell Fusion, since nothing seems really "Synchro-ish" about it besides one of the spells being a "Tuning Spell." I think you could do something like require a specific type of Spell, in comparison to Monster Synchros needing Level combos. Like, "1 Tuning Spell + 1 or more non-Tuning Normal Spell Cards" or "1 Tuning Spell + 1 or more non-Tuning Quick-play Spell Cards" etc.

I kind of like the idea. The monster seems kind of ugly, since it can be abused a lot with Spells. The Tuning Spell can force an immediate Diamond Dude-esque abuse, then you hit your Spell Card with the Tuning Spell and you get to re-use the Tuning Spell while getting the effect of your other card. Running this with viable abuse cards (Allure, D. Draw, typical things Diamond Dude smiles at) can become ugly, fast.

So, the idea is good, but the cards are a bit overpowered.

6/10.

I must say, I really like the idea of these cards, but I sense a fundamental flaw in their very structure. Monsters, by definition, must have a stated Attribute and Level. No monsters have a Level other than 1-12, or an Attribute other than one of the 6 sanctioned ones (not including Divine). And, don't even think about mentioning the Clear monsters, as they don't exist in the TCG (nor the OCG either, unless I'm mistaken).

It just seems to me that having monsters without Attribute or Level is just asking for trouble :P

The idea needs a bit of balancing. Its basically Synchros without the Level requirements.

How about the Spell Synchro monster is returned to the Extra Deck after 3 turns or they're destroyed after 3 turns or something. Otherwise theyre just synchros without levels.

The pictures are very cool, although the Deathrealm Dragon's picture is a tad bit blurry.

The effects and cards themselves are interesting and quite original. Most sub-types these days suck. Its nice to see an original sub type for a change.

Overall

9/10

Balance out the summoning conditions and this should be an interesting set.
