"We can't be together. Our daughter is traumatized. Vinessa is DEAD. I miss my family in Forks, but I can never see them again...." she muffled on into her palms, and eventually fell quiet, still not looking up. The stars and moonlight fell upon the two of them, like a beacon of light. He leaned in to her, so close he could kiss her neck. He moved away a few strands of hair and then whispered in her ear.
