Jade touched her Necklace. She could feel it pulsating...

"Not now," she moaned. "Not now..." But it wasn't listening to her. Suddenly she was tumbling into a vision ... but this felt different ... it wasn't just any ordinary vision...

OoC: for purposes, this vision has been split into six parts

[spoiler=Part 1 (14 paragraphs)]

Jade got up, off the black marble floor, and took in her surroundings. There was barely any lighting; the best there was were torches, their flames flickering weakly in the light, black fog that covered the ... tunnel, Jade supposed, that she stood in. Holding up the tunnel were black marble pillars that almost looked violet. There were magnificant phoenixes carved onto the marble pillars, with crimson marble flames surrounding their wings and a magnificant plume on each of their heads.

Jade felt like she was in an odd vision. This wasn't like what she had experience before - before, she had been unable to move of her own free will; she had been forced to move with the primary character(s) of her vision. However, here....

To see if her theory was correct, Jade pointlessly did ten starjumps, then ran around visciously in a small circle while singing any random song that came to her head, until she reached the furthest point of dizziness she could cope with. She sat down, gasping for her breath back, her back pressed against one of the pillars. She could feel the cold marble pressing against her sweaty uniform and the heat of her skin.

'This really is happening,' thought Jade as she looked at the earthen ceiling. It was amazing that the ceiling wasn't collapsing in from lack of support. 'This isn't any ordinary vision'. Suddenly a bright glow caught Jade's attention. It was coming from the other end of the tunnel. Curious, she got up and began to walk in the direction of the light.

Jade was ready to shield her eyes from the intensity of the light but to her surprise, the light grew paler and paler as she approached. The light soon effectively became nothing more than white mist as she came closer to the magnificant light source.

It felt like an eternity but eventually Jade had crossed to the other side of the light. She now stood in an airy and very perculiar circular hall. The walls were not made from bricks but from blocks of thorns, all of them trapping a single ball of white light each. What was in the center of the room caught Jade's attention.

There was a slightly raised black marble throne. It was rather elegent and sleek. A young male with raven black hair and a pair of ruffled black wings was slouched in the throne. The moment he saw Jade he immediately sat upright, looking at her with keep interest, both hands gripping the armrest.

"I've been waiting for you," he said as he got up. "I'm fascinated by you."

"In what way?" demanded Jade, taking a step back. She watched as he leapt into the air, changing into a phoenix. He landed on the throne, perching on the left armrest.

The phoenix that stared at her was not entirely black; his feathers were an ash-grey, his eyes as yellow as topaz. His tail was so magnificant it was enough to rival a peacock's. He stared at Jade, his eyes telling her to come forward, to stop being afraid of him. She approached him obediently, and stroked his back. It felt as if she was stroking a dog.

"I am Kazuki, Legendary Phoenix of the Shadows," he said. "I - along with my sisters - am one of the Legendary Birds. It seems as if you are chosen."

"For what?" asked Jade. Wild thoughts were running through her head; there was a possibility Kazuki would say absolutely anything.

"An anti-meta deck," replied Kazuki. "Specifically a light anti-meta deck. Here." A deck came fluttering down, covered in a black veil. Jade held out her hands and the deck dropped into her hands. "Embrace the power of Kazuki, and use it wisely."

"I will ... I will." Jade held onto the deck. She could feel a dark pulse pulsating through it.

[spoiler=Part 2 (13 paragraphs)]

"My sister would like to see you know. Farewell Jade, Bringer of Darkness." Jade wanted to ask what Kazuki had called her but before she could she was being lifted off the ground. She could see the ceiling and she winced; she was going to crash.

The ceiling opened up and Jade drifted upwards, up, up, up until she landed softly on earth. She stood up and saw the hole had closed. She could hear a beautiful birdsong, feel a cool breeze blow, rattling leaves as it did so.

"Wow," muttered Jade as she looked around. "It's so beautiful." She could hear her feet crunching the autumn leaves below as she began to walk. She hoped to try and find the next phoenix.

This was easier said than done. With no guidance around the forest, Jade found herself lost. She walked and walked but seemed to be making no progress; her surroundings stayed the same. She never gave up, despite this. Perhaps it was just a trick, perhaps she was walking but it seemed as if she had not made any progress...

"Very clever Jade," said a female voice. Jade looked around, wondering who had spoken. "It was indeed a trick. It proves you are the right one to use this deck."

"Where are you?" The scene shifted and Jade found herself sitting on a gigantic toadstool. She looked up and saw a beautiful woman standing opposite her. She had curled brown hair and wore a leaf green dress. Her emerald-green wings fluttered gently,

"Welcome Jade, I am Floe, Legendary Phoenix of the Soil." She suddenly jumped into the air like Kazuki had done, and resumed her phoenix form. She looked like Kazuki, except her feathers were dark green and her beady eyes were a shiny black. "I see you are curious as to why you are having this vision."

"I am," agreed Jade, eager to hear the reason.

"We appeared to you six times," explained Floe. "Whoever spots us six times yet says nothing is destined to wield our decks." Suddenly Jade realised Kazuki's deck was no longer in her grasp. She began to panic but Floe sung a song, calming Jade down. "Do not panic. Kazuki's deck is safe with you."

"What do you mean? Kazuki's deck isn't here, with me! How can it be safe with me if it's not there??" Jade was trying as hard as she could not to be so jumpy.

"When you wake, you will have every deck with you." A deck wrapped in a green veil fell into Jade's hands. She unwrapped it and felt an earthen pulse tremble. "This is the power of Floe. Use it wisely."

"Thank you." She saw the phoenix's beak open as a way of smiling.

"No need to thank me just yet, not until you have tried them. Now, be ready for water!"

[spoiler=Part 3 (10 paragraphs)]

Suddenly Jade was being lifted off the ground again. She flew high into the air, above the long stretch of forest, and eventually landed head first into a boat. She quickly composed herself and saw she was in a two-seater rowing boat. She had a feeling she would need to do some rowing.

"There's a first for everything," she muttered to herself as she picked up the oars and began to row. It was a difficult job; the oars were heavy and very easy to loose grip of.

Jade didn't care. She continued to row, and began to find it easier until at last she was rowing at a very fast pace. Suddenly a woman shot out of the water, causing Jade to jump and almost loose the oars.

"You have passed the test," said the woman. She had a pair of beautiful sea-blue wings, with matching ocean-coloured eyes. "I am Pysea, Legendary Phoenix of the Waves. I have tested you and you have passed."

"Just like everyone has," commented Jade. She saw Pysea smile.

"Very good," she said. "We believe you were the one destined to wield the Six Decks." Jade's jaw dropped as she heard this.

"SIX?" she repeated a little louder than she wanted. Pysea nodded.

"Yes, six ... wind, water, fire, earth, light and dark," answered Pysea. "One for each bird." She suddenly flew into the air and swooped back down in her phoenix form. Her feathers changed colour down her body; she had a navy blue head. The navy blue very gradually changed into pale blue at the tip of her tail.

"This means ... I still need to encounter fire, wind and light," said Jade. She was stunned. So this was why she kept seeing six ... and not to mention six times too ...

"Yes," said Pysea. A deck wrapped in a light blue veil fell into Jade's hands. It felt rather wet, despite being dry. Jade noticed how Floe's deck had disappeared too. "May the power of Pysea be with you. Now Jade, be ready, for the next trial will come."

[spoiler=Part 4 (11 paragraphs)]

Pysea suddenly vanished; her body bursted into thousands of tiny water droplets. The moment they hit the water they became droplets of flames. The water ignited and fire sprung. Jade cried out, but a voice said to her, "Do not panic."

Jade glanced ahead and saw miles and miles of fire. Suddenly she gripped the oars and began to row. Somehow she was starting to get over the fear; although she was aware she was rowing through fire, she began to feel more unafraid as she did so. She realised she had to row through the fire ... it was the only way ...

She continued rowing. Her body was growing irritably hot, her sweaty palms now sticking to the oars. Any sweat immediately evapourated; even the blue sky became a stormy sky.

Yet she ignored it all and continued to row until at last the fire ceased, the sky became blue, sweat ran down her forehead again, and she was relieved of her pain. A woman with bright orange and red wings was now sat in the boat with Jade. She looked impressed at her determination.

"Very good Jade," she said. "I am Ashfur, Legendary Phoenix of the Flames. You have learnt not to fear; if you can overcome any dangers and hazards, you are worthy to wield fire."

"Fire ..." Jade repeated as a deck covered in a red veil fell into her hands. She removed the veil and put the deck down beside her, with intentions to start rowing again. Ashfur held out her hand.

"No need." She stood up, unbalancing the boat slightly. Suddenly she leapt into the air and changed into her phoenix form. Out of all the phoenixes, her tail was perhaps the most elegent; it was fire-red and curled, with a hint of gold. The rest of her body was a fierce orange.

Ashfur landed back onto the boat, on one of the oars. This didn't unbalance her. Instead she stared at Jade, her black eyes looking at her with curiosity. She tilted her head slightly, then tilted it back.

"You are a different one Jade. I know you will duel your own Dark Magician ... but when you do, the Birds will pity you and be with you," she said. Jade felt tears run but they evapourated with Ashfur's body heat.

"I love my DM ... I can't believe it will happen," she whispered.

"I understand your sorrow. However what is to happen will happen. The Vengeful Brothers, Shadyian Tomb Keepers, and the Chosen Ones may all work in harmony now, but soon ... they shall not. Agony and sorrow will be torn everywhere," said Ashfur. "Be ready Jade, for no one else will be safe. Now farewell Jade, Bringer of Fire."

[spoiler=Part 5 (13 paragraphs)]

Jade was suddenly lifted out of the boat, with Ashfur looking up. Jade was relieved as she felt cool air smack her; she pierced through a cloud and shielded her eyes from the sudden brightness of the sun, which wasn't too far from her now.

She felt herself able to fly through the air. It was a wonderful feeling; she didn't even need wings for this! She flew through the air, performing fancy tricks as she did so. It was fantastic, it was wonderful! She made sure to remember this feeling.

"I see you have mastered the power of flight; a tricky thing for a human," said a girl's voice. Jade looked around but saw no one. "Come and find me!"

Jade followed the direction of the voice and eventually flew alongside a girl. She had a pair of white wings on her back and had her blonde hair tied in a ponytail. She smiled as she saw Jade.

"It seems as if we made the correct decision," she said. They stopped flying. "I am Hyphur, Legendary Phoenix of the Wind." She spun round and round until she was lost in a tornado. When she stopped, she was now in phoenix form. Her feathers were a pale blue, matching the sky exactly. She looked at Jade through her black eyes.

"That just leaves one more..." said Jade. Hyphur nodded.

"You have come far, you have done much. Everything you did proves you can be worthy of our decks. Now, here is mine." A deck wrapped in a near see-through veil fell into Jade's hands. She unwrapped it and chucked the veil behind her. Jade could feel it was light and airy.

"Hyphur, I don't understand one thing." Hyphur looked across to her.

"What troubles you Jade?" she asked in an understanding kind of voice.

"You appeared to me and knew I would be the one ... but how? I can't help but feel Rafael is somehow involved in this..." Hyphur didn't answer for a few seconds.

"He is. He thought you would be worthy..." She opened her beak to smile. "He wasn't wrong, was he?"

"No ... I suppose not..." muttered Jade, thinking back to what she had done before. Hyphur was right; Rafael really hadn't picked the wrong person.

"Now go and be free Jade, Bringer of the Winds. Fly to the sun to meet my sister."

[spoiler=Part 6 (11 paragraphs)]

Jade followed Hyphur's advice and flew to the sun. She expected it to be so blinding she couldn't see but to her surprise she could see just as well. It wasn't so bad after all.

Suddenly a woman with golden wings almost collided with Jade. She avoided her by flying over her. Jade spun through the air and caught sight of the woman stopping next to her. She did a loop before she stopped.

"I'm sorry Jade," said the woman. "I am Spora, Legendary Phoenix of the Sun." She was quite pretty as a human.

"The last one," said Jade to herself. Spora nodded.

"Yes indeed." She suddenly disappeared and reappeared in her phoenix form. Her feathers grew from gold to red as it approached the tip. Spora's beak opened as a way of smiling as she saw Jade looking at her feathers. She had the shortest tail out of the Six Birds.

A gold veil wrapping a deck fell. Jade caught it and unwrapped the veil. She could feel the light it emitted warming her palms. She looked at Spora, who was suddenly looking rather sorrowful.

"It must happen Jade ... I will be the one you will use against Dark Magician," said Spora. "I stand the best chance of beating him."

"Why must I beat him?" demanded Jade, half-upset half-wanting-to-know-the-truth. Did the upcoming duel mean she would forever loose her lifelong friend, her first ever card? Was it going to kill both of them in a way that they wouldn't be able to recover themselves.

"I cannot answer that question. However, you must. I'm sorry Jade, but your upcoming sorrow we have felt and we have mourned. Soon there will be a time where you will find ultimate comfort in us, your new duel spirits."

"I can't have six birds flying around all the time!" cried Jade. Spora let out a funny singing noise, which seemed to be a laugh.

"No, you're quite right. Imagine the mess we would leave." There was slight pause as both girls imagined the situation. "Now, I must bid you farewell Jade, Bringer of Light."

OoC: Wow!

IC: Liang kept walking, annoyed. He had been lost in the forest for around 2 hours ; there was still no sign of civilization. It was as if everyone had abandoned him. He looked up to a clearing between the trees, then thought he suddenly saw something block out the sun, but just for a second. He wiped his eyes, then kept walking again.

OoC: Well done? It's good, but from a FanFic writer who prides themselves in having longer, more descriptive paragraphs, I still don't think one line should count as a paragraph, because it doesn't. ¬_¬ But I don't really care because pretty soon I'm going to throw in the biggest plot twist yet, and I guarantee many discriptive paragraphs, and dialogue/conversation will be in one paragraph, as is should be, instead of line by line, pretended to be a paragraph. Oh and I have accepted Soul Legacy, playing as Kyle Jordan, into the RP.

OoC: well your target is now 73 - would be longer if I had included a seventh Phoenix
