Poseidon kept walking through the tunnel now it pitch darkness, he than stopped as his face slammed into a wall, he felt around him, there was a turning, he went around the corner and continued through the dark, when, again, he slammed into something, this time a door. He opened it slowly and it let out a slow rather cliché creak. There was light, he could now see a torch mounted against a wall, and opposite that, another, he picked one out of the frame and continued walking, now he could see.

 

He walked through the room when his Baby-Daedalus appeared.

"It seems Rafael wants me to help you through this path, or I've appeared as this is my last day with you Poseidon.."

Baby-Daedalus said, a tear in his eyes, for tomorrow it was Poseidon's eighteenth birthday .. The Eighteenth year of his birth

"But I have so many questions to ask you ..."

Poseidon said in dismay, now a tear at his own eye.

"And only one I can answer for you..."

" ... okay ... who is Rafael?"Asked Poseidon.

Baby-Daedalus' eyes rolled, he then looked back at Poseidon

"I knew you would ask this question ... Rafael is the first Vengeful Brother ... and now he has control..."

Said the spirit. Poseidon was shocked at this 'Vengeful brother', 'Rafael', this 'Insignia' why was he involved.

"But why? Who are the vengeful brothers?"

"I have answered your question, and now I must go..."

And with that Baby-Daedalus disappeared, and Poseidon's mouth ready to speak, was silenced, he was to continue.

 

"Jade had probably foreseen this" Poseidon thought, he then remembered, he could ask her

"Is this what you saw Jade? ... this was my last moment with him?..."

"I'm glad someone's enjoying this ..." Poseidon continued, hoping for more answers, with this answer about Rafael, a whole book of questions has opened, one's Poseidon holds the Key to. yet he does not yet know how much he is needed.

 

He opened the door, this one without a creak, maybe well-oiled, Poseidon did not bother to notice, because what grabbed his attention immediately was the man now staring him in the face, this was Khronos...

 

Khronos looked at Poseidon with a smirk "We've got 'im boss." He said with a laugh.

He then grabbed Poseidon by the hair and pulled him to the floor, where before him stood a figure, a tall dark robed figure, all to be seen was a mouth, a smirk on an evil mouth. A pair of hands, his arms crossed, in one hand he held the Millennium Rod, and the other; a knife.

 

Poseidon looked up at him, it had been so long Poseidon had felt this emotion truly; fear.

Poseidon was truly scared, for his own life, and his friends after that. He was on his knees before the man, as if this man was god, Khronos held him by the hair, somehow Khronos looked strangely familiar.

 

Khronos kneed Poseidon in the chest then whacked him round the head. The man then moved forwards and pulled off his hood, revealing his face, a dark face, his hair; long and silver, with a beautiful dark streak of black covering one of his eyes, his visible eye was light green, he had a tattoo covering part of his cheek and part of the side of his face, it clearly depicted the Yin and Yang in dragons, one was black, the other white, and they circled around like the Yin Yang.

 

The man, now unmasked, walked over to Poseidon, as he reached Khronos and Poseidon, it showed how this man was tall as he stood over them dauntingly. Poseidon looked up into the eyes of this man...

"Poseidon ..." He said just about to continue.

"... tell me who you are ..." Poseidon said, interrupting the man.

"Poseidon ... you really don't know? ... I ... am Rafael ..." Rafael said with a little smile.

There was then a pause, as Poseidon go to grips of who this man was, and just what to do...

 

And then, Baby-Daedalus appeared, and in the sight of Rafael, moved backwards away from him in fear. Poseidon had never seen his guardian in fear ... not even when his parents died. Not even when Poseidon was nearly killed at the hands of an old enemy; the chaos duellists, but that is a whole other story. And as Poseidon saw this fear in his spirit, his own fear grew.

 

"Your time has come ... it is almost midnight, and I shall choose Poseidon's next guardian." Said Rafael.

"I know ... but we still have time .. if you let us leave now then we ca-"

"NO! You will be here when I choose, as I have said before..."

Bellowed a very threateningly loud Rafael. At this point Poseidon punched Khronos in the chest and stood up, he looked directly into the eyes of Rafael as he threatened his guardian. Poseidon would not let this happen now, not merely fifteen minutes away from midnight, his eighteenth birthday ... his last few minutes with Baby-Daedalus ...

 

Khronos fell to the floor, Poseidon looked down upon him as if he were nothing but a rat. He then kicked him in his chest with full force, and then again, this time right in his bollocks, Khronos began spewing blood from his mouth, a dark red blood; blood is much darker than people think, it's much darker, and when you've caught a scent of it, some people go insane, some people shrivel in fear, some people remain shocked and scarred of the thought, but go on, and there are some, that want more, grow a lust for blood and killings.

 

Poseidon looked down on him. Rafael walked a step closer, he then with one swift movement lunged forwards, carefully, yet brutally shoving a knife into Khronos's head, to be precise, in the temple, and being a blade as long as itself it pierced directly through to the brain, killing him instantly. Poseidon looked up at Rafael, who is Poseidon now? Still un-phased by watching this man be murdered?

 

Rafael again had a small smirk on his face, so far, everything was going to plan. And he knew Jade had seen what happened next, however Jade was not sure what day it would happen; poor Poseidon, it would be his eighteenth birthday. Soon it would happen to Jade, and then Ryo. Poseidon knew his death was near, however he held the Key, he had confidence he could change it. Rafael was too confident Poseidon could change the future, but in which way would the pendulum swing? Rafael clearly knew what was to happen, as he had known all this so far...

 

Rafael and Poseidon shared this stare, there eyes seemed to be competing, however is this was so Rafael had won, he had drawn Poseidon's attention to his rod, which was now glowing. Poseidon stared at it, in awe.

 

Soon he heard a rattling from underneath him, there were bars on the floor, a prison, and there were students; all Slifer red, all seemingly dead, except from the one whose hands held the bars, rattling them, he had a Millennium Symbol on his head, he then broke out, he stood in front of Poseidon and placed the bars back.

 

Poseidon was now confronted by Rafael; this mysterious man, a dark sinister mind, and a black heart, and this boy; looks like he was once merely a bog-standard duellist who had just made it to duel academy, who was now clearly possessed, no control over himself.

 

The Slifer student then fell to the floor, the Millennium Symbol gone, and his eyes were normal once again.

Poseidon's eyes were now back to Rafael, who stood there, his arms crossed

"Now hopefully you understand an inkling of my power..."

Said Rafael looking at Poseidon, he could conjure men from the dead, and use them as mere toys, and then kill them in an instant, and this was just an inkling? Poseidon was in trouble. So was everyone ... big trouble...

 

Rafael was still staring at Poseidon, just intimidating him. Poseidon was scared, but he was not going to let it show, he must stay strong. Rafael walked back a few steps, and Poseidon watched. Rafael then picked up a cup, it was filled with blood, and there was a single drop of blood dripping down the sides, this was the cup Khronos had used.

 

"Vengeful brothers ..."

Poseidon said, that was his own blood in there, along with Khronos's.

"Very good ... you are one of us Poseidon.."

Said Rafael. Looking at Poseidon's face at he said it.

"One of you?" Said Poseidon

"Yes Poseidon, in fact you were the third member, after me, and Khronos."

"I don't remember signing up for this."

Said Poseidon, still managing to bring a scent of comedy to the sinister equation..

 

"Haha. You became a member when we murdered your parents. I sensed you had a strong power Poseidon, you were tha last pure-blooded Shadian TOmb Keeper, you were perfect. As were your reactions, which is why you became one of us ... however soon after this you disappointed us, I personally kicked you out. Which is why you lost three years of your life... remember any of it now?"

 

Poseidon stood there in shock. "How does he know all of this?" Poseidon thinks. "It's like he's been stalking me ... or ... what he says is true?" Rafael remained looking at Poseidon, Poseidon deep in thought.

 

"Come to your senses yet Poseidon? I have been listening to you ... I have not been stalking you, this IS true. And there is nothing you can do to get those years back now Poseidon, absolutely nothing."

Said Rafael. Poseidon remained shock. "Does he have no limits? Well .. he's listening to me right now"

 

"And I do have limits, Poseidon. Just not many ..." Said Poseidon

"Why are you doing all of this?" Asked Poseidon.

"I'm stalling for time ... there is only 1 minute now, then it'll be your eighteenth"

"Waiting to wish me a happy birthday?"

"No Poseidon ... there will be no 'Happy Birthday' for you this year..."

" ... and there normally is?"

" ... no ... none of us have it easy Poseidon, but you must join us ... if you do not, you, like the others, will perish."

 

There was now only thirty seconds to midnight, Poseidon wondered what would happen, he stared into Rafael's never-ending eyes. The time was slowly ticking away, until he could feel it, it suddenly became very hot, a fire burnt in the middle of the room, one which was not there before, it turned green, then yellow, then blue, then purple, then ended again at the usual red flame.

 

Poseidon lifted up into the air, and was moved across the room, he was now hovering above the daunting flames, he was soon sweating, and Rafael walked towards him, the Baby-Daedalus appeared, and then Rafael shut his eyes, Baby-Daedalus moved across to Poseidon's left shoulder. And Rafael's eyes then opened, and Poseidon looked over his left shoulder, to see Baby-Daedalus, and then over his right shoulder, which was empty last time he saw, now there was a little grey creature sitting there, this was a Duel Monster, one Poseidon had never seen before.

 

Baby-Daedalus then disappeared, and the flames went with it, Poseidon slowly landed to the ground, and Rafael threw a card at his feet. Rafael then disappeared. Poseidon picked up the card; 'Exiled Fiend Syan - Returner' he was now holding he then looked to the little imp like creature, it looked back at him and winked.

 

Syan then disappeared, along with the card, soon objects in the room began dissappearing. Soon everything was gone and Poseidon was alone in the nothingness. Soon things began materialising; a tree, the grass, soon he was in the forest his head spinning he was in a small area he'd never seen before.

 

He looked around and saw Jade sitting on the floor, her eyes were closed, she was asleep. he walked over to her and shook her. "JADE! JAAADE! WAKE UP!"

OoC: ooo so the plot thickens now!

 

"Wh-What?" said Jade as she opened her eyes. She shot upright, startled. "P! How did you know about here? How did you get past the invisibility barrier!" There was a pause. "Wait ... you ... were at that hatch place ... what happened after Baby Daedalus?"

" ... a lot ... Baby-Daedalus .. gone .. Rafael ... vengeful brothers ... Syan..."

As he said this his new guardian appeared, and the card re-materiaslised in his hand.

"That, is Syan"

He pointed to his new spirit then held out a card to Jade
