Naimo Posted June 5, 2009 Report Share Posted June 5, 2009 Jade saw the eye glow again and suddenly she was thrown backwards off her feet as she spiraled into another vision... She was back 5000 years again. This time she was in a dim underground room, and she guessed this must be where Egyptian Poseidon had betrayed Jade and Ryo, because she could hear the jingling of Jade's jewellry bashing against each other. Jade sensed that her Egyptian self was calmly seated, her eyes shut; Ryo was banging furiously on the trapdoor. "LET US OUT! POSEIDON YOU IDIOT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" she heard Ryo yelling. There was a particularly loud bang, then temporary silence as Ryo seemed to be walking down a set of steps. She heard him kick something, then he sat down by Jade. "That idiot, he betrayed us! He was our friend and he betrayed us!" Jade said nothing. Ryo fell silent for a while. "If only I had my Scales..." "You know they would have been useless anyway," said Jade. Ryo turned his head to look at her. "How can you be so calm?" he demanded. "HOW? We're going to starve to death, and you're not even searching for a sign of hope!" There was another silence. "Did you think I did not foresee this with my Necklace? Did you not think I would know Poseidon would trap us down here?" demanded Jade as nonchalent as ever. "Even if we were armed with the Millennium Items, what could we do? However, and be reassured-" She opened her eyes but looked straight ahead. "-Poseidon will realise this grave mistake." She shut her eyes again. "Oh yeah? Knowing Poseidon, he never admits wrong even if the error is punching his face repeatedly," snapped Ryo, but not fiercely. "Just wait and see." Suddenly the trapdoor opened and light was thrown into the room. At once Ryo leapt to his feet and began to ran up the steps, before he stopped and realised who it was. "You-" "Yes, me," said Khronos. Jade could see he was reaching for something. Suddenly something small in the shape of a greenade was thrown in. Jade barely saw what it was before the trapdoor was shut, with Khronos' evil laugh audible. Ryo let out a fustrated groan as he retreated down the steps. Suddenly there was a hissing sound as a mist-coloured gas escaped from the grenade-thing and quickly filled up the room. Jade could hear Ryo choaking, but nothing was coming from Jade. "And so it ends here," she heard herself say before the sound of two people choaking and gasping for oxygen filled the room for about a minute. Then there were two gentle flopping sounds and Jade guessed this meant herself and Ryo was dead. Suddenly she was jumping to the future. She was back at Duel Academy, and was following P. She had a terrible feeling this was happening an hour ahead, which meant that once this vision ended, this would be happening ... she could see P running to the shed in a fury, his face screwed in rage, two fists clenched, the knuckles as white as the whitest snow in existence. Jade wondered what had him so mad - knowing him, he was a lazy but laidback guy who rarely got himself in such a rage. She noted he had a loaded duel disk on his duelling arm. She was following him, running after him. She liked running in visions; no matter how far she ran she could never tire. She was amazed at the energy he had - it wasn't bad for someone who only had cheese and pizza in the fridge in the shed... And talking of shed, Jade saw him come to an atheletic halt as he stood in front of Rafael, who was in front of the shed, the door opened. She halted along with him, and watched as Rafael - who had stood with his arms folded casually - unfolded his arms and activated his duel disk. Poseidon took several big steps back and switched on his own duel disk. "DUEL!" both men cried, and Jade watched as they drew five cards each. She saw Poseidon take the first move, and was eager to see what this was about. Suddenly the image flickered and what happened next became more of a radio show. She could hear phrases such as, "I summon" and "Not so fast" as the invisible duel progressed. She could hear monsters roaring as they were summoned to the field, she could hear occasional running and slashing noises, monsters letting out shrieks as they presumably exploded into pieces from an attack, general grunts as life points were lowered, and the sound of more cards being drawn. Jade temporarily saw one section of the duel, where Syan was out on P's field, and Rafael had a monster shrouded in darkness, like she was watching a censored clip. She watched as P played to the field some strange looking monster she had never seen before. One thing for certain, he wasn't using his fire deck. The image faded and more sounds could be heard. Then an image slowly came into view. The duel was over, both duel disks had been deactivated, but Jade had no idea who the victor was. She cried out as she saw P squirming on the floor, his face no longer looking angry but in agony. She couldn't see any physical damage done to him; perhaps it was internal damage. It didn't make sense though - but then again, perhaps she had to see the duel to understand. She watched as Rafael just left him there, not caring at all. Liang took his cards from his duel disk and shuffled them back into his deck, then placed them back in his deck holder. He seemed happy, but tears occassionally fell off his cheek and hit the ground.
