Police (for anyone that doesn't mind reading a long story)

Just thought I'd mention this. Nothing really to reply to. This is just some personal info. I've been pulled over by the police 3 times and I'm gonna explain each time here.

1st time:

I was just coming home from school. Right behind my school, they had some construction people working on the road. They complained to the school that people were going too fast behind the school, so they got a cop back there once to pull people over. I got pulled over, but the cop just warned me and let me go.

2nd time:

I was going 43 in a 25 because I didn't know what the limit was. It seemed like it should be faster, so I really didn't know. That time, I didn't get a warning. I got a ticket, but I paid a lawyer $100 to get it changed to a non-moving violation so it wouldn't go on my record. So everything worked out. I needed to get it fixed because my insurance was only $90 a month. It was supposed to be $250, but they made a mistake. That ticket would have bumped it out to $300 or more. But sinse it was fixed, my insurance stayed the same.

3rd time:

This is the reason I decided to make this thread. This is really almost unbelievable. Yesterday, I did a Californian Stop (where you don't stop all the way) and two cops in two cars that were just driving along saw me. I pulled over and they walked up to my car. Here's a list of the things that were wrong with me:

  • 1. I didn't stop at the stop sign.
    2. I have 2 seatbelts in the back of my car. I had 3 kids back there and none of them had it on.
    3. My proof of insurance was expired.
    4. I didn't have my registration paper.

I told the cops that I had no idea why my registration paper wasn't in my car, but I got pulled over at the end of my street. So they told me to call my mom or dad and ask them to bring it to me if they knew where it was. And they were just talking to me and my mom came down. She called my dad and neither of them knew where it was. My mom was just talking to the cops and then one of the cops saw that my steering column was broken and he said that cops will usually pull a person out and throw them against the car if they see that because it looks like the car was stolen (hotwired). And he said that he could take me straight to jail and have my car towed away because of the insurance thing. But they did a check on me and LET ME GO WITH JUST A WARNING! My parents couldn't believe that. There were 4 things that I could have gotten in trouble for AND I could have gone to jail and they just gave me a WARNING! Not sure which of you believe in God, but I give him all of the credit for that. That's a real blessing!

Now, I don't think I'm a bad driver, but I know that most people claim that. It's just that I don't get away with anything. I rarely speed, and when I do, it's not by much; I don't run red lights; and I've never been in an accident. It's just the few times I do something wrong, I get caught doing it.

That's all I have to say. Again, there's really nothing to reply to. I just thought I'd say it. But if you want to reply, go ahead. :) And if you do have any questions about anything, feel free to ask.
