A month or two ago, they needed to expose 3 teeth in my mouth, so they gave me about 10 novacain shots in my mouth, scraped up my gum, flipped it over and sewed it to my upper gums. All that numbing stuff made my lips feel like two freaking hot air balloons, and I had to keep cotton in my mouth a long time to finally stop the bleeding. From then on for about a week, I lived on nothing but peanut butter, mashed potatoes, pastina, milkshakes and ice cream. Those of you who have not had dental work done are really, REALLY lucky.
