And don't say "economic crisis lololololol" or something like that.

srsly, why do we spend all our time on money and not on things we actualy need like world hunger, envrioment, and many more. We spend it all on entertainment and bad entertainment at that (my opionion), so we fail. if we cut back on major money waster like this, we could actuly solve someproblems.

Sorry for bad grammar.

Now discuss, not sports, but where would we be without paper and metal that gives us fortune and all the bs

Everything runs on money. Without it the world would be in even more chaos. =/

If we don't focus on money, we wouldn't have the money or the resources to do any projects for the enviroment or give food to other people.

lol you copied my thread. Now u die.

Basicly, what Neiko said, you can't survive without money the way the system is now (Screw the system, Anarchy FTW) It gets food, water, transportion to get food and water and more essential sh!t. You could redesign the system, but no you can't unless half or more of the population was wiped out and you started anew without money.

So, no, it has a point. These days with this goverment.

And without that system. People would be living off of fear or solid commitment, which no one would enjoy, like or follow for that matter. One country is one thing. A whole world? Yeah... You'd have a better chance of being hit by 6 meteorites in the same spot within the same hour.

I lol'd Icy.

Money is only worth what we as an economy decide it's worth; what we do is our own choice. If we want to spend more then that is our decision.

Then how can the american dollar be less than a euro now?

It's more than that. It's a standard for a want, and eliminates the barter system, which in the end while nice. Isn't effective in todays world.

Icy nailed it in his 2nd post.

Eliminating the hassel of the barter system makes the world so much easier.

Why trade rolf your chicken for his beer so you can trade the beer to roy for some cheese and then trade the cheese for milk when you could just go to one place and pay with money for the milk. It's simple, effective and works everywhere. Bartering is rediculously hard. You have to have exactly what the other person wants or there's no deal. Money is around because of convenience.

Oh and while we're getting rid of money and guns to stop war, why don't we just destroy all of our buildings and possessions and then all commit suicide at the same time? That way there won't be anything or anyone to wage war. Sounds stupid huh?

That's because THINGS don't cause war, PEOPLE use things to wage war. The problem lies in a person's disposition and personality, not weapons, money, or other things themselves. Which makes more sense in this scenario:

Rob is a mentally unstable man with a very short temper. He buys a gun and kills someone.

Now, did the gun's presence cause all his problems and make him kill, or did he use the gun to murder because of his own pre-existing flaws?

Objects don't exude an aura that cause people to do things. It's humans' flaws that cause problems. They merely use what is available to carry out their ambitions. If you ban one thing you create a prohibition effect and people will find another thing to replace the banned item.

I think that paper money is worthless, now natural ores like Silver, Gas, Salt, and Gold are considered valuable and is way worth more than plain ol paper money.

If you ask you're government about paper money they'll say it's worth nothing, it's only worth something because they tell you it is.

Paper money is essentially a check for the gold held in for knox etc.

Funny isn't it how the checks we write are pretty much checks for redeeming another check.

We haven't been on the gold standard for quite some time now.
