Toffee.
Usually I would put some comment here, To go with the following card, But the image edit seems to do a better job(You can disregard it's 2nd effect)Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK.
The card first appeared on episode 66' date=' Whare Yami dueled "Strings", And add to that, It was blocked by a freakin' Revival Jam. None of which, Has anything to do with the actual rulings/card effects. Anyway, I dont mind that Yugi uses magician-esque cards, Since his favorite card, in fact, is an actual magician itself. But Konami releasing it(add to it, It wa a freakin' Secret Rare) was just a disaster. Since everyone at first was like: "OMG YAMIZ CARD!!!1111" but then when we got 'good' at the game, We all declared this card to be crap. Mostly for the fact that it only deals simple LOLLPS damage, And wont win you the game. No, Saving until the end doesnt count either. Since saving it for that long just proves you suck. Ok, Back to the card: Its main purpose is for burn decks, Since in this case, The damage is a good benefit. But out side of that, No. Just no. And aside of people bieng LOLYUGI wanabees, Why do players insist on thinking this is a good card? Its just as bad as Negate attacks. Its too slow to have any actual benefit, Its a sitting duck, And thares way too many cards that [i']easily laugh at Magic Cylinder. And add to that, Konami keeps re-releasing this card as a common on way too many ocasions. Because good players wont use it, And noobs will fall in love with it. Its that easy. And if your still wondering why I edited the image, It goes like this: Kazuki drew it specificly for Yami, Then an image for an actual card. Konami had the oh-so geneious(sarcasm) idea to make it an actual card. So thats why the effect is worded as sutch. tl;dr: Armz laughs @ how newbies consider this to be a 'good' card, And should be used in every possible deck, Except a burn deck, Which is the obveious choice. But no, We cant have that. Discuss

dead draw
I traded a Beast of Talwar for a Mirror Force. True Story.Topic: Magic Cylinder is overrated by noobs and is main-decked by them only. Konami may have well as actually named it Noob Cylinder and made the picture a friggen hologram so everyone knew that whoever used it would most likely be dumb enough to trade them: Honest/JD/DAD/PSZ/CCV/D-Draw for: anything that Yami uses
Thegargoylevine
I say Magical Cylinder was very usuable when the card came out, and is probably still worthy in a Burn Deck. There are worse cards.

LostLetter227
It deals damage and saves your ass. I still don't see why its a bad card. - Non chainable. Cannot save your ass if a JD is about to nuke the field.- Cannot save your ass if you're up against a field full of monsters.+ Deals Damage, but wont win most of the time. Saving it, like Arm said, doesn't count.

Guest PikaPerson01
The card first appeared on episode 099' date=' [/quote'] No it didn't. It first appeared in episode 66 when Yugi dueled "Strings". He hid Magician Girl under Magical Hats, then used Spell Binding Circle to weaken Osiris, and then Magic Cylinder to redirect Osiris's attack towards itself. (which was then blocked by Revival Jam.) I love how the anime treats removal. Nobody ever uses removal cards; random cards will be able to remove for no reason; and any card like Fissure that does come up will always be negated or ineffective or something similar.
