DA don't say something so dumb and factually incorrect *forces you to watch the news*. With Labour in living in the UK doesn't really pwn.

UK and France are 2 of the best prepared places for this sort of thing so I'm not really worried.

If you are a vegetarian, living in the USA, and wash your hands, say aye. *Dark says aye* You are the only one that is 100% safe from this flu.

Airborne (sp?) spread, also spread thru eating piggly wigglies. I wash mah hands. I'm safe in Boston. =D

The media will get everyone all worked up and concerned about this for like a month or 3 and then nobody will care. It's not going to be some huge pandemic on the scale of the plague >_>

All you have do is wash your friggin hands and you won't catch it. Stop acting like the world is going to end, because a year from now nobody will remember this outbreak.

Besides, we already had 4 drugs effective against swine flu. This mutation is susceptible to 2: oseltamivir and zanamivir.

Ironic how your name is 'Angel of Death'. [/off topic]

Apparently' date=' it's now a Phase 4 epidemic. With the number of deaths almost doubling in Mexico. If this keeps up, the America's economy is going to be in even worse trouble then it currently is. Tourism will slow/cease, trade [i']could[/i] become less frequent, as other nations would be scared of contamination, and of course the cost for healthcare and medication could rise.

However, chances are it won't turn out that bad. Due to the fact that washing your hands greatly decreases your risk of getting it.

and this is a lvl 4 thing

Uh-oh! It wasn't that big of a deal by itself' date=' but now it has an ominous sounding classification. This changes [i'] everything [/i]! Run away!

They only do that to scare you.

This started in mexico. >.>

They can keep there deadly plagues.

It looks like it has reached the UK. Scotland to be precise.

Some people who came back from holiday in Mexico feeling ill and show the symtoms of it.

I don't know if this has been confirmed as 'Swine Flu' but they were put in isolation and are being tested for it.

It HAS been confirmed to be it' date=' it was on the news as I said.

I think its pretty sad, people die that way, especially the Mexicans. If I heard correctly, one way to avoid this disease is to cook the meat properly. There shouldn't be any trace of red spots because red spots mean blood and of course blood can possibly be contaminated by the virus.

169 deaths is an incredibly small number compared to other mass destructions of life. 169 lives are insignificant.
