ITS THE TOILET THREAD!

History of plumbing: The romans started it off. All I can remember. lol...

History of the toilet: Romans again. But then it was changed and made better with actual plumbing by someone. A misunderstanding is that a guy named Thomas Crapper invented the modern day toilet. You can tell what his name led to, lol...

[EDIT] I did not read the post two posts up. lol.

Here' date=' we discuss how awesome indoor plumbing is.

Man, I really love it. It would suck if it didn't exist. Who was the guy who invented it, anyway? He should have a holiday.

The toilet is in such an interesting shape too. It kind of looks like a mouth. I wonder why its in that shape?

Some people sure make crazy toilets. Like those toilets in Japan that will wash your butt for you after you poo. Do you guys know about any other crazy toilet inventions?

[/quote']

Thomas Crapper did not invent the toilet. The Ancient Greeks did, then Sir John Harrington modernised it.

I knew it went as far back as the Romans, but I'm kind of wondering which ancient greek came up with the idea.
