drive a car into a building ^^..wait..does being imortal mean that you cant die from dieases?..will you still suffer from them??or will they just go away??

for this question you would only suffer from the diseases but you would still live.

I would become a prophet and lead my army on a 100 year crusade filled with church arsons and genocide.

Sounds great.

Okay, that sounds strange. especially the genoside part. what race would you kill?

There is a huge dif between immortality and invincibility.

Yes there is.

Probably spend more time with my boyfriend.

scenario:

if you spend your life with your BF. hell die. youll be sad. youll end your own life. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

So' date=' I will meet him in heaven if I die.

No big deal.

[/quote']

But then there's the fact that the entire concept of immortality is that you are INCAPABLE of dying. So yeah, big deal.

I CAN BLOW YOUR HEAD OFF WITH A SHOTGUN AND YOU WILL STILL DIE.

No, actually, see, the fact is, if I was immortal, then I would be still alive despite the fact that I was decapitated. Then I would WISH I was dead.

Since, you know, that's the actual concept of immortality.

STFU.

Thats invincibility for the last TIME!

No, not invincibility. Since I never denied the fact that you were able to shoot my head off. No regeneration. No shells bouncing off.

As I said, immortality is where you CANNOT DIE. Cannot. As I stated before, that's the concept.

The body will continue functioning, whether or not you are decapitated or your overall mental functions are unable. You CAN'T DIE.

Unless, of course, you have some other definition for immortality.

The definition is age less life, genius. In the underworld, Puppetmaster, Demonic toys series the explain the definition as being ageless and they can all still die by being shot, stabbed, clubbed, ETC...

Oh, I'm sorry. I highly apologize for my great ignorance on the matter. I was unaware that Television that said it, so thus it must be true!

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/immortality

All that says is Endless life.

Endless means it can't end. =/

Duh.

But I can still kill them.

If their life can't end, you can't kill them.

Read on it:

Immortals are ageless mortals while Invicibles can survive anything but can die of old age. Thats putting it simple.

Um... do you have short term memory loss? Y'know... remember the definition?

Go back to school and research it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortality

Read the first few paragraphs at the top.

Shall I say this?

Immortality is where you can live for more or less forever. You can die from just about anything else, excluding diseases.

Invinincibility is where you cannot die of anything. Not even age. No damage as well.

This thread focuses on the medium of the two. You cannot die (invincibility) but you can be hurt (immortality). You can also regenerate (regeneration). It's a medium.

And now:

I would use my abilities to create a utopia. Happiness for everyone. I would also be help the human race by using my abilities to help me learn all I can about space flight, get us to other planets and such. If it takes decades/centuries, then I would learn how to share my abilities with a select few.

Epic win.

On an off topic note. This is the longest post here. EPIC WIN!

And the thread is somewhat ironic: The creator is called The_Prince_of_Death

Epic fail. (well, maybe not quite. XD)

Its impossible to make an utopia. Too many variables.

Like Zasalamelof SC IV i would harness the meaning and ALL secrets of life, and i would become succesful and start up a company that benefits all human life, but before i would do that i would like to see if the "Immortality" is treu.

Seriously, immortality is a pain in the ass, you watch all your friends pass away all your memories will fade trough the ages you live. I'd rather be reincarnated than immortality.

Would never work. You could try, but in the end, you'd probably become extremely cynical as humanity failed to meet your expectations again and again. You'd probably end up trying to either take over or destroy the world.

Utopia = PHAIL

A utopia would only make it worse, a utopia is something more painful and dreadful than hell.

I would use my abilities to create take over the world. Then make it into a utopia. Happiness for everyone. I would also Force the human race into space-flight Chuck Norris style (throw them).

Fixed methinks.

Methinks the Chuck Norris one should be: Research, study, experiment and test until I am able to perfect space flight.
