This is the first card I made (While signed on [i used to make cards here even though I wasn't a member]).

 

 

Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned. In order to Normal Summon or Set this card you must Tribute 3 monsters cards on your side of the field. Once this card is on the field, all cards on your opponent’s side of the field are sent to the graveyard (This effect cannot be negated by a spell or trap card). For every card sent increases the ATK of this card by 1000 points (The ATK of this card cannot exceed 9999). This card cannot attack the turn it was summoned.

 

 

I hope you like it. I really don't know what sort of wording errors I could have made so you may correct my on that. I tried making it as fair as I could but still making it a good card.

Plenty of errors that I'm not going to bother fixing because the card lacks originality and a solid effect. It's pretty bad...

Sorry, I'll do you one better.

 

At this point I'm pretty much a firm believer that a card like this will never be good. For issues on how to word your card, try consulting the following thread: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-118387.html

 

From what I understand, that thread has some solid Card Grammar help.

 

Also, try not to make effects for monsters that focus primarily on boosting its ATK through the roof. Try to give it an effect that helps other cards as well - this is the great thing about sets. You can make them with a bunch of different cards that work together.

 

Another thing that will really help is if you play the game competitively. Do you? If so, a good thing to do is check out some of the top tier decks that are out right now and decide whether or not you like them.

 

If you like them, try taking a look at one of them and figuring out what one of the main threats to that deck is. Then try and make a card (or cards) that you could tech against the problem deck/card combo. If you dislike the current meta, make some cards that focus on dismantling the really good decks.
