People seem to hate normal/vanillas simply because they hold no originality. Well this is wrong, just because it has no effect doesn't mean its not original. If enough effort is put into a creative description it can be even more original than effect cards....after all there is only a limited amount of different effects left that haven't been used.

A description should tell a story, tell the warriors past, the banishment of the fallen angle, things like this. To many newbs have come in and made normals with no story, making them to much like joke cards to be taken seriously.

The problem i have with Normals, is giving it enough attack and defense to where its not over or under powered.

But I made one...so rate/hate/ what ever.

after re-reading it, i did find a few flaws. Neverless im going to remake it.[/align]

For a Normal Monster, it is not bad, on the other hand, Zai-Yro doesn't sound like a name for an ex-soldier of the Mexican Army. I'd like to see some support for this card (maybe one related to his time as a soldier in the army, and another one related to this time as a prisoner of war - just to make it fitting to the story of the card) If you give some support cards, it has great potential, until that, 7/10.

Well, i plan on making a normal monster set just to show people that they're not pointless and unoriginal.

I couldn't think of a mexican sounding name...i normally just type something and re-arrange the letters till i come up with something odd sounding.

Ill remake the name maybe....or change the army....idk.

thanks for the ratings

In my opinion, keep the army, as he looks Mexican, only the name is off. And you know, if you want to make a set of Normal Monsters, it's okay, but it would be nice if you would give support Spell / Trap Cards referring to the events mentioned in the card lores of the Normal Monsters. I believe that would be the best you could do with a normal set. Tell a story with the Normal Monsters and the support cards (somewhat similar to how several of the goblin cards are related amongst the real cards).
