Wait what did Canada do again during WWII?

That's not funny. That's how my grandfather died.

wait your Canadian or your grandfather got shot by a Canadian

My grandfather was part of the Royal Canadian Air Force. He died when his parachute failed to deploy during an air raid.

I don't know but because of this Hitler kill himself 8)

Hilter was screwed in the head' date=' and he was trapped by all forces, so he took the easy way out, suicide.

[b']Meh, he did good things. I respect him for those parts.[/b]

Wrong.

He was a evil man, he did nothing good atall, if you think killing thousands of Jews is good, then you should go and get some help.

He could have done good things and have been a good man if his father spent less time beating him and careing about his bees and more time loving his son and admiring his artistic skill then Hitler could have been histroic for a copletly diffrent reason.

His relitives today have to hide from pubic eyes, there planning not to have anymore babies so they don't have to continue the family name.

and these are the reasons he was evil:

Making his own Niece go insane and commit suicide

cheating to become leader

trying to take over the world

killing 1000's of jews[which we already know]

and loads of other things

if you can find anything he did good during the war then fine, but in prespective, he only did good things for the Nazis.

yeah and that's among what helped the USSR to stave off defeat from the German invasion.

Returning to D-Day too many books I disliked for them constantly stating the allies complained constantly about how their intelligence came nowhere NEAR the German real strength.

Few ever seem to recognize the German disadvantages: because Hitler felt the invasion would take place at Calais, priority for equipment was given to the 15th army stationed there. The 7th army in Normandy was greatly over stretched.

Their troop quality was largely crap and most divisions were well below men and material they should be.

The defeat of the luftwaffe in 1943 meant they had no air cover at all.

They were constantly attacked by French resistance units.

Losses in men and material were virtually impossible to replace.

Allied air superiority meant movement was only possible in the hours of darkness.

please. Half the video games are utter BS, especially when it comes to movement.

Most American GIs complained they were lied to in their training. All their training was under the assumption the terrain will be flat and open country, not the Normandy bocage of sunken lanes and hedgerows which you can't see more than 20 feet ahead of you before there's another hedgerow.

it was even worse when some of the American GIs saw their friends killed by Hitler Youth (some barely older than 14 in Normandy)

In fact there was one incident (can't remember if it was Normandy or not) where a German defense position was overrun and the remaining defenders taken prisoner. When an American soldier saw so many of his friends were killed by a pack of Hitler Youth, he deliberately put a bullet in the heads of every one of them.

*shrugs* You have to remember the American GI attitude at that time: they considered themselves invincible in every way, that no one on the planet is better than them in quality. And to see some of them being killed by mere children is (certainly to the American GI) just not possible.

This anger faded only a little bit into respect later on when the offensive went into Germany, when the situation was even worse. Some of the Hitler Youth Artillery Regiment personnel were merely 12 years old.

The infantry Hitler Youth were even more desperate, some of them as young as just 8 years old.
