Kaerez yawned, the punches seemingly phasing in and out of his body. Someone with incredibly vision might be able to see a hint of the blurr of his body as he dodged in and out of the punches, no breaking a sweat.

"So I take it your specialty is speed..." Zarkus said in a low voice.

"Well, lets see you escape THIS!"

In an instant, Zarkus fired a Cero that exploded about half a kilometer all around them.

Kaerez instantly disappeared, forming back a few seconds after the Cero had dissipated. His clothing looked a little ragged, and he breathed slightly harder. "Well, thought I could outrun that... almost did, too, but he tail-end managed to hit me." He chuckled. "Maybe you'll be interesting after all." He said with a slight chuckle, before removing his Zampaktou. "Shikai!" He declared. "Release your Storm, Kagenmirau!". The sword glowed, and sparked with lightning, the hilt forming and shaping into a complex metal design. Interestingly, the blade disappeared, replaced by a small strip of metal coming out of the hilt.

He smirked. "Full compression." He whispered. The blade reacted, charging with electricity, and glowing in a sphere of power. Moments later, a tiny blade appeared around the metal strip, turning it into a tiny dagger. Kaerez smirked, and tucked the dagger into his belt. "Now we really play."

Zarkus unsheathed his sword.

"Thats more like it, Shinigami!" he said, dashing towards Kaerez

Vel finally went back into his regular form

Invisible to the naked eye, Kaerez swept Zarkus' legs, struck him three times in the stomach, before swiftly cutting across his body, in a slanted direction from his neck to to his opposite hip, before quickly backflipping and jumping back to his previous position.

 

The entire thing took exactly Point four zero zero three two seconds.

Zarkus tanked the entire attack, and smiled.

"Heh... not bad. However, you've shown me nothing so far that leads me to think I need to release... leads me to believe you're holding back actually. So... come on, show me just a bit more!"

Kaerez chuckled. "Holding back? That's called 'testing the waters'." He smirked, and moved.

 

He didn't move anywhere in particular; circling Zarkus, in the air, around the area, even to the wall of the Soul Society and back. He built up velocity as he did this, though he was still invisible to the naked eye, as electrical energy was absorbed into his body, padding it with a thick armor that only streamlined him, increasing his perpetually increasing speed. At some point, it seemed like degraded simply into a mass of electrical energy.

 

To the naked eye, he simply disappeared.

"You're almost as fast as that other dude I fought earlier... you better hope your offensive power is high." Zarkus said with a grin.

"Because I tanked just about everything he threw at me."
