Careless Whisper Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 Welcome to the first of many contests hosted by the Good Old YCM Awards Council team! I, Careless Whisper, normally do not post in the Custom Cards category, but I am now on behalf of the Good Old Awards Council. Now, before I get into depth, I wish to talk to you about how this Contest shall be run! --This competition will take a considerably long time to do. Why? Because it'll be exactly like American Idol, except with card making and not with the horrible singing.First, there will be "Auditions" in which the contestants wishing to compete are to send in one of their premade cards via PM to me and I will forward the cards to the judges listed later on below.Once we have a good ammount of auditioning cards, the judges will then decide on the best 16 cards. The makers of those cards will be the ones to compete for the entire competition. --After auditions are over, the 16 chosen contestants will then submit a new card for the first week. The judges will then critique each card with as much detail as they wish to give. Then, once all judges who wish to critique, (at least 3 must give critique), the voting poll will start.The voting will last for until the ending Saturday of that week. As for the voting counts, here is thesimple way to explain this.Member not of the judge list = 1 vote point.Member on the judge list = 2 vote points.Obviously, this means that that if a member that is not of the judge list votes, his/her vote will only count as one. If a member that is on the judge list votes, his/her vote will count as two. --The card with the least amount of vote points will be booted off of the competition and then the next round will start, which will restart the competing process. --The winner of this competition will be the last man standing and will win 6 positive reps from me and a Coupon for 2 free purchases at any Graphic Design Shop on the forums. (Cannot be used on other sites.)[spoiler=Also]If other members wish to congratulate the winner with a positive rep, you are allowed to do so. --Each round will have a certain theme. During A Battle Between This Attacking Monster And A Defense Position Monster Whose Defense Is Lower Than The Attack Of This Card, Inflict The Diference As Battle Damage To Your Opponent. If This Monster Destroys A Face-Up Defense Position Monster Switch This Monster To Defense Position Until Your Next Standby Phase. Once Per Turn By Decreasing This Monsters Level 1 You Can Switch This Face-Up Defense Position Monster To Attack Position(This Monsters Level Cannot Be Lower Than 1). Premade cards are allowed for auditions [spoiler=Here's mine][spoiler=Effect]When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can activate 1 of the following effects:- This card is sent to the top of your deck, your deck is then shuffled. - Both players remove from play 1 card from eachother's Graveyard.- Both players randomly select 2 cards from their opponent's hand and send them to each other's deck. When there are 5 Cravacai Counters on this card, discard them all to remove all monsters on your opponents side of the field from play. This effect can only be activated once per duel. If a Spell or Trap card is activated, discard two Cravacai Counters to negate the card's effect. During your Standby Phase, you can remove from play 2 monsters from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. Each time this card sucessfully destroys an opponents monster or sucessfully attacks your opponent directly during the turn that this card was Special Summoned, increase your Life Points by 1000. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of the Ritual Spell Card "Conjuring Magi." This card is also treated as a Thunder-Type monster. For every face-up Spell and Trap card on the field, increase this cards ATK x300. For every face-up monster on the field, increase this cards DEF x200. Decrease this monsters ATK/DEF x200 for every card in your hand. When this monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, remove it from play and Special Summon 1 "Dark Magician" that was removed from play. [spoiler=conjuring magi] [spoiler=lore]You must also tribute monsters whose total level is equal to 4 or more from your side of the field and/or your hand.
