Rai finally pulled out his choices, and quickly but them in his wrist spell holder so no one would know what they were. "Great competition eh, light?"

"I suppose. Some of them look like easy though."

"That premonition still bothering you?"

"Yes. and it becomes far worse when i look at that guy with the ice monster over there. It fels like that thing is dead. almost my polar opposite."

"because of the ritual?"

"yes."

"I'll keep an eye on him."

"Thanks."

Suddenly, the large plasma T.V. crackled to life; displaying the matches for the first round, and their starting times. The tournament was to be a double elimination, with the overal winner of the losers bracket taking on the winner of the winners bracket for the championship. The first match was to be Zack Vs. Rai, starting in 30 minutes. simultaniously, Zeke was to face Photos in another ring.

The half hour had past. Rai walked hesitantly into the ring, and the crowd's sudden cheer made him jump a bit. Light, on the other hand, was waving to the roaring crowd. "Lighten up a bit Rai. This is what we came here for!"

"You know I get stage fright. just gimme a bit to relax."

"Sure. Hey do you know what this guy's monster is."

"A dragon 40 times your size"

"WHAT?!"

"Just kidding. its only a foot taller than you, but it has some muscles. probably a fire breather."

"Fun fun fun. you know these are enviro-rings right?"

"Enviro-Rings?"

"Yeah they create different environments for each match. This time we are on an earth field with large boulders."

"Ok i've got my spells. Lets do this."

"Right!"

The Referee walked out on to the field, and stood between the four combatants. "Alright boys! I want a good fight. You can use only three spells or traps. First to knock out the opponent wins. You start in 2 minutes, so stretch out and be ready for my call."

"Get ready, Light. This doesn't look easy"

"Yeah he probably fights a hell of a lot better than he talks."

ooc: ok then pure feel free to come back if you want to later.

"OOOOOKKAYYYYYY!" Said the ref, "Duelists, Ready your spells! Three, Two, One, BEGIN!"

"Yeah! Light lets do it!"

With that, Light took off and flew straight at tyrant dragon. When he was half way to him, An orb of swirling wind appeared in his mouth. "Shooting Sonic!" said Rai as the orb was fired at Tyrant dragon. Light then flew above the orb's flight path and came in close for a claw attack; specivicly aiming for tyrant's neck.

Zack was calm, watching his opponent's moves. "Tyrant Dragon, sidestep to the left, aim to the sky and blast that dragon with your Crimson Flames." Zack's words reflected his calm demeanor. Tyrant Dragon roared, obeying Zack as he shifted his weight, using the attack to spin his massive body, though taking damage to his side. His neck raised up as a belt of deep crimson flames ruptured from his throat, aimed right at Light.

ooc: I don't know... for now, play your other two characters in the stands, as all of the rings are visible.

 

In Character:

What was left of the shooting sonic attack fanned the already large fireball coming straight up at light. Rai, thinking quickly, activated a Spell from his wrist. "Dragon Nails Activate!"

Light used the newly formed metal gauntlets to shelter himself partially from the fireball. On lights side of the jumbo tron, his ATK and DEF values went up by 700.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!" Suddenly, out of the smoke came a browned light at top speed, slashing tyrant with the now red hot Dragon Nails. He hit him with two well placed slashes to the arm and upper torso. He then flew back up, ready to parry his opponent's next move.

Tyrant Dragon bellowed a loud roar as he watched Light land with his new claws. "He likes to play close.....Let's see how close he likes to get." Zack pulled out two spell cards as he held them up. "Rush Reclessly, and Stamping Destruction!" Tyrant Dragon roared as his body glew with a green light. The two spells vanished from his hands as Tyrant Dragon recieved a 700 point power boost, charging head first at Light, hitting the dragon square in the chest.

As Light was sent flying from tyrant's attack, A soul star landed on him and sunk into his body, empowering him. At the same time, Dragon nails began to vanish due to stamping destruction.

"Light! Victim sanctuary now!" Light reacted. And the soul star came out of his body and shattered, allowing light to stop the destruction of his gauntlets at the cost of 1 of the eight stars that they could use. Light stood, with his hand on the now bleeding chest wound. "Ready For round two?" he said.

"What a move ladies and gentlemen!" said the ref "Rai has managed to save his power boost through clever use of his own soul energy, and is now on an even playing field with zack and tyrant dragon!"

"Activate! Synchro strike!" Light's value jumped up to 4200. Light rushed in again, this time using sonic wind from his mouth to Make his slashes faster. He landed his first slash across tyrant's chest and then began to use his other hand. coming in on tyrant's neck.

Zack smirked. "Reveal the Trap Card, Dimension Wall." A dark purple aura rose up infront of Tyrant Dragon. As Light's second attack was about to strike, his claw struck his own neck. "Tyrant Dragon, Tail Slam him." Tyrant roared as his massive tail swung from behind the wall, hitting Light in the side. You're too reckless with our Spells, you've used them all. "Don't....worry." A small marble appeared in Zack's hand. "I have a few tricks left."

Another Soul star sank into light's back as he once again stood up. His point total then went back down to 3200 as synchro strike wore off. "Its time light. I'm gonna use that last spell."

"Right. Lets do it."

"Activate! Battle Tuned!" A green soul star appeared in Rai's hand and a large Image of a Debris Dragon appeared behind light as the soul star entered his body. "You see, I wasn't always in this form. I used to look like the image behind me. That is, until I underwent a synchro monster ritual. This spell uses a part of my former soul to give me a power boost. Its my ace in the hole, so to speak." With that, his ATK went back up to 4200, then 4300 as rai threw in his second soul star and dropped to his knees temporarily. Light formed two wind orbs and but them in his hands.He then threw them and fired a third shooting sonic attack, one landed behind tyrant, one to his left , and one to his right, either forcing him forward or trapping him there. Either way, light didn't care. He rushed tyrant and punched him as hard as he possibly could in the face, sending him flying backward.

Tyrant Dragon was sent flying backwards into a boulder, seemingly motionless. Zack shifted an eye brow as he flicked an orb into Tyrant Dragon's body. "Get up." Tyrant lifted his massive head as he looked at Zack. What did you have in mind? Zack removed his mask as he spoke. "All out war." A wicked smirk crossed his face as he formed two more orbs and tossed them into Tyrant Dragon. "Now then. With three orbs we can get you off that rock, and into the sky." Tyrant dragon nodded, standing up. His massive wings lifted him off the ground. "Higher!" Tyrant flew up higher. "Now then...Tyrant Dragon..." A fourth orb formed in Zack's hand, making him stagger. "All or nothing....Crimson Flame Strike." He threw the fourth orb up into Tyrant's gem on his head. Tyrant Dragon's body was engulfed in the deep crimson flames as he rocketed towards Light.

Rai managed to give light another two stars, bringing his score up to 3400 after the final spell wore off. "lets see if i can't put out that fire." Light shot another shooting sonic attack, which ignited ant exploded when it hit tyrant dragon, taking some much needed fuel away from the flames, decreasing their intensity. "Now lets end this!" Light flew out of the smoke at his top speed, and collided with tyrant dragon, taking massive burn damage in the process. He then grabbed him and sent them both plummeting toward the ground. Causing explosions from the wind and flames. Light managed one last sonic blast at point blank range, hitting tyrant in the face just before the two hit the ground causing a large crater to form within the smoke.

The smoke billowed for some time. Zack staggered forward. "I guess....there is a first....time for....losing..." A small smile crossed his face as he dropped to his knees. "Ty....rant....." He fell face first into the dust. As the smoke cleared, Tyrant dragon laid motionless in the hole made by the two dragons.

"We have a winner!" Yelled the referee as he ran ove to rai and raised his hand. Light, barely conscious staggered to his feet. "Great job rai. You saved my skin there"

"Dont *Huff* sweat it bro"

"Rai will now move on into the winner's bracket, while Zack will go into the loser's bracket! The next match between Geo and Terri will begin in five minutes, so stay tuned!"

With that both combatants were led off of the field as it converted to normal.
