Gogeta™
I tried downloading several Virus Removal programs but when I try and activate them, I get a message saying "the application cannot be exicuted". I can't open any programs and I had to go back to my old internet browser just to get online. My desktop BG has also changed into a big Warning telling me I have a virus. Theres also messages telling me I have Spyware and some kinda Trojan virus. What can I do to remove all this junk?

Cin
Which sort of anti-virus programs have you tried? I believe I had similar problems previously back in 2006. Are those messages coming up when you're on the net.

♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
Trial version of Norton 360. That's all you need. You do know that Norton's one of the worst anti-virus companies out there, right? Try Panda, if you can even get your hands on it. And if the virus you have is preventing you from accessing pretty much anything, there really isn't any software that can get through that, since the virus has probably removed or disabled certain Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL's) that are required for the software itself to open. Lots of viruses do that. I could say you have the Conficker virus, but that's just going overboard. Though, my friend has gotten it, and he has had the same symptoms as you, and was forced to reformat. He, being a professional hacker and programmer, couldn't even get around it. He had a external hard drive, which helped preserve several files that he owned. Try Safe Mode, even though that method never works. Just back up your files, and reformat. yangninja
if it's the conficker then it's easy to remove. There are programs out there dedicated to removing it
♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
Conficker's easy to remove before it activates. If it activates, then it's too late to remove it then. And looking at what he said, it seems to have already activated, so if it really is Conficker, it's too late for that.

Archbaron Larry
I had a simular problem a few months back. A fake Antivirus program called Antivirus 2009 somehow installed itself to my computer. According to it, it said that I had 136 viruses infecting my computer. Then one day it said I was being attacked by a spyware, then the screen went black, a bunch of jibberish and random numbers appeared on my screen, then it shut off. But when I turned it on, It looked like no harm was done. Also, it was a scam for two reasons. If you pressed clear viruses, it asked you for your credit card #, which no other virus-killing program does. Also, when I got Norton 360 installed, it said that no viruses were infecting my computer, however, when I clicked on Antivirus 2009, it said still that 136 viruses were still infecting my computer even after all the viruses were cleared by Norton 360. It's problably another one of those scam antivirus programs just like one was on mine. I wouldn't worry about it.
