Fan-Fic Contest

Master Red

Recommended Posts

I've just started a fan-fiction and I decided to have a contest where the prize is a feature of your deck (and submitted character) in it.

I would appreciate if you read through the prologue (approx. 1,5 - 2 pages in word) before applying so you know a little about the main characters and the upcoming plot.

I will be the only judge for this contest and there will be only one winner (there may be exceptions if I'm unable to select only one).

Rules:

Cards must be realistic

Deck must contain 40 cards (you may use real cards such as monster reborn etc.)

Deck must have an obvious theme (such as type, archtype, etc.)

Deck must contain at least 10 cards you've made yourself! (NEW RULE)

If you use real cards the Deck must be playable according to the current banlist.

You may submit a character to go with your deck, this is optional

End Date:

18th of July 2009

Contestants:

Batteryman AAA

Queen Ashe (entry accepted)

Supreme Gamesmaster (entry accepted)

DesCrow

If you have any questions you can PM me or just ask away in the thread. Good Luck!

While this card is in your hand and your opponent activates a card effect to destroy a monster(s) on the field, negate the effect and remove from play all cards on the field. Then Special Summon this card and inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each card removed from play by this effect. The original ATK and DEF of this card is equal to the amount of damage inflicted by this effect. If this card is not Summoned by its own effect, its original ATK and DEF become 2400. This card cannot attack during the turn in which it is Summoned. When this card is removed from the field by a card effect, during the End Phase, Special Summon it with the same ATK and DEF as it had when it was removed from the field.

Other Decks will come later.

Note that this Deck works best in 8000-point Duels; 4000-point may require some author intervention, though there are usually enough contingencies to get her by realistically. She's supposed to be pretty good, so...

Also, you'll probably want to a) put her as a villain who does a Heel Face Turn partway through, and/or b) give God Azræl some plot significance (his serial # is Ragnarok).

Also, THAT TOOK FOREVER. O,x

EDIT: ...no OCG? :(

It's a nice theme, and character, although since it contains OCG cards I cannot accept this entry as it is. Replace fiend roar diety with another card (preferably one you've made yourself).

hmm.. since I've seen these entries I'm thinking about adding another rule.. Your deck must contain at least 10 cards you've made yourself (adding more of your own cards acctually helps your odds of winning)

NEW RULE!

Deck must contain at least 10 cards you've made yourself!

I'm sorry you who've already posted your decks, but I felt as if it will become easier to judge if everyone added more YCM cards. Since, bot of the added decks use a lot less "home made" cards than the other characters.

Never knew Uryu Ishida was a monster XD

At the moment, he's a bad one, too. Except in the event of Chaos Conquest.

Fix'd mine entry.

As a friendly suggestion to my fellow competitor, Sakuretsu Armor is awful. Also, running just 1 of either Book of Moon or Enemy Controller is kinda very pointless; you might as well just remove both and add x2 Threatening Roar or something.

Ah, yes, but where as you forget the effect of my Mirari, I may only need one copy of Book of Moon and Enemy controler, use Mirair's effect, remove them from my deck, then when Mirari is gone...I can get one of them back to use again. And how is Sak Armor aweful? It gets rid of the attacking monster, giving you one less thing to worry about.

as SG said saku is just downright bad. The only traps I use in my decks are chainable traps like threatening roar, PWWB, compulsory etc. sakuretsu is not reliable enough in todays meta as it relies on your opponent to perform an attack (leaving room for removing it before the BP) also stardust can negate it.

You should run dimensional prison instead, it's a better version of the card (sure you can still get rid of it before bp, but it's still an improvement) since the monster gets rfp and SD cannot negate it.

Although, including a rare and hard to get card in a deck for a fictional character should not be done without thinking. Not many people own such cards as solemn judgement, dark bribe etc. If you're not a professional player it's a slim chance of you even owning a Torrential Tribute.

Staple players partake in tournaments. I for one dont' date=' so I dont see a need for Staples to be in every single deck....

[/quote']...failure.

They don't need to be in every Deck; Monster Reborn has no place in Macro Monarchs. But try playing even in lolocals without Solemn Judgment or Dark Bribe.

Anyway, I just realized: my character is a hyper-idealistic villain; her stealing the staples is hardly unlikely.
