R3DN30N
Hello, I'm having problems with my wireless router. I just bought it today, its a netgear Wireless G-Router. I can't seem to connect my laptop to it. (It has a Toshiba Mini Wireless PCI Card) But I can connect to it with my DS, and my Wii. Can anyone help me? 1+rep if you can help me fix it! Static
Unlike your Wii, a computer needs to be connected to a NETWORK that you establish. Run your Wi-fi Software, if it's windows just "Search for wireless" Once yours is found, create a Network connection. When that Connection is made, is enabled, and is receiving and sending signal, THEN your computer will be able to connect to the internet. Most basic Wireless networking... *plamface*

Static
No security? Ok. Did you install the CD for your router? If not, do that. If so, open up the program and find your network/make one and search. IF THERE WAS NO CD; my other advice should have worked.
R3DN30N
When I installed the router on the computer with Internet the CD said NOT to install it on the computer, or laptop that I'm going to try to connect to.

Man0waR
do WEP. But put a password on. The DS dosent support full WPA. The wii does, but I can't tell why it dosent work for u. Get a Linsys from walmart for $20. It's worth it. (I use one) and its good for everything. Just be sure: if your gonna use it for gaming, use WPA. Only use WEP if your using a psp or DS to play online.
Static
Alternatively, you can just put a MAC address block and allow only the Computers in your vicinity to use your Wireless. I think MAC's can still get on though, but it saves you the trouble of password protecting it, and it doesn't stop any of your gaming systems.
