Dark Synchros?

Well i've seen them, i guess we all know them from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D

My question is how their mechanics work, something with subtracting stars from Dark Tuners? Do you have to Tribute monsters in order to Summon the Dark Tuners?

Tell me everything you know about them, please.

Here is the first few lines of every Dark Synchro Monster:

 

1 non-Tuner monster - 1 Dark Tuner monster

In order to Special Summon this card, subtract the Level of a Dark Tuner monster from the Level of 1 other monster you control; the value must equal the Level of this card.

 

When making Dark Synchros here, that gray text is eliminated.

Anyway, it says almost everything you need to know in the gray text.

Pretty much, you take a Monster, and a DARK TUNER, the Monster has less Levels than the DARK TUNER.

Lvl 3 (Monster)

Lvl 8 (DARK TUNER)

 

3-8 = -5

 

Simple?

hmm most of this is good i think the second guy sums it up the best. you have to tribute for the dark tuners which is why they have simple effects (such as des submarine[you can special summon it from grave if you control no monsters]) another thing is you can only use 1 non dark tuner and it cant be a tuner.
