YCM-kun: B-Con and M-Con. Where on the list?

Recommended Posts

I'm not going to be posting pictures because anyone ignorant enough not to know their effects is not in a position to contribute to this thread. And perhaps more relevantly, I'm just too lazy.

First, let's discuss Brain Control and it's proper position on a banlist.

Then, compare and contrast its differences with Mind Control, and decide: A. If they should be at the same position on the banlist, and B. If not, why do the differences in their effects warrant such a change.

Go.

Brain is at 0 since it makes your opponent's monster a beatstick and fodder for synchros and tributes.

Mind is at 3. While this can take face down monsters all you can do with the monster you take is synchro, and if you take a face down you can't even do that, so this has only that use and the fact that it can clear your opponent's field for direct attacks.

And use any ignition effect that the monster has. And limiting it to synchros only isn't that bad.

You can just flip summon the monster >_>. And cyber valley rapes that card as well.

You can change it's battle position. What do you mean Cyber Valley rapes it? The fact that you get valley's effect?

brain control 0 as its the most ridiculous topdeck

mindcontrol however, i feel shoul dstill be at 3

peopl are saying its a problem but it has only became a problem in kitty sync as it combos well and allows for silly combos

its really only useable in comboing with synchroing, unless you take a dad or somthing but you still cant attack with it

just because a card combos well dosnt make it broken

You said you couldn't synchro summon if you take a face-down monster but you can if you flip summon the monster you took.

Mind control would be a problem with anything able to get you 2 tuners out like deep sea diva, rescue cat, plaguespreader zombie...

Also cyber valley and this.

You can change it's battle position the turn you take a monster? That's news to me.

B-Control is like a combo between Pemature Burial and Change of Heart, which are both banned... so by lolYCM logic, that makes it uber broken?

M-Control is like a Change of Heart that lost most of its effectiveness, until Synchros came along making it halfway decent?

B-Control and M-Control @ 1...

you've always been able to do that

No you can't. Last time I checked you can't change the position the turn you get them.

Edit: Never mind, I'm wrong. I d on't know why but I thought their was a ruling that said you couldn't change the position

No, you can't change the position of a monster during the turn that it is summoned. Brain Control and Mind Control don't summon anything, they just shift control of a monster for a temporary period of time. Unless your opponent managed to set that facedown monster during your turn (Is there even a card that would do that for you? I can't think of anything that isn't a normal spell) than you can do whatever the hell you want with position.

There's no rule that says you can't. I Mind Control and flip Dekoichis all the time. As a matter of fact, I think someone did that with GK Spy at Nats.

B-Con banned' date=' M-Con to 1.

B-Con is a skill-less top deck and M-Con's original restrictions aren't what they used to be in the era of tuners and Cyber Valley.

[/quote']

Justify your decision to put Mind Control at one.

I thought I did?

When Mind Control was first released, it's effect was balanced yet there was little use for it. The game has evolved such that whilst the effect of Mind Control hasn't changed, game mechanics (mainly Syncing) and cards such as Cyber Valley render it practically as powerful as Change of Heart.

@two above

Yes' date=' I'm wrong. For what ever reason I thought their was a ruling that said you couldn't. Meh, I'm stupid.

You're among YCM's elite - no need to call yourself stupid over one little thing >.>

Hell, I've spelled my last name incorrectly before.

I believe you just justified putting it at 0?

If you did, good job.

If not, lolycm.
