I guess I may begin this now.

 

EDIT: I have modified the Judging Criteria, adding Creativity.

 

For Round 1, look on Page 1.

The Idea for increasing/saving Life Points and how the Equip Spell will help save the monster will be creativity. Just saying "The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle" will be low on creativity.

As long as there is a "Umi" or "A Legendary Ocean" Field Spell Card on the field, any damage from attacking monsters to your Life Points becomes 0. When a WATER monster is sent to the Graveyard, increase your Life Points by 300. When this card destroys a monster and sends it to the Graveyard by battle, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower WATER monster from your Deck.

This card can only be equipped to a WATER monster you control. A monster equipped to his card cannot be destroyed by battle (damage calculation is applied normally). During your Main Phase, increase your Life Points by 200. When a WATER monster is Special Summoned to your field, you can place 1 Water Summoning Seal Counter it. When a monster with a Water Summoning Seal Counter on it is selected as an attack target, you can remove 1 Water Summoning Seal Counter to negate the attack.

here are my entries... although I'm not too sure about how good these are...

During your Battle Phase, increase this card's ATK by 200 during the Damage Step. When this card is destroyed by battle, increase your Life Points equal to the number of "Siren Tokens" you control x150.

For every card in your Graveyard, increase the equipped monster's ATK and DEF by 50. When the equipped monster inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points, select 1 Level 6 or lower monster your opponent controls and remove it from play. The equipped monster is then sent to the Graveyard.
