ok, before I begin I just want to make it clear. This game will always adhere to the new rule of articulateness, and if you can't abide by that rule, then don't play, simple as that.

Anyway...

The Plot:

It's been a few months since Yugi and his friends got back from Egypt. Life in Domino city has become something relatively normal.

However, a new danger is rising. A dark force is becoming tired of standing by, and wants a challenge. Enter the new generation of dueling champions from Domino City!

The Premise:

In this RPG, a group of duelist are to fight a new menace, but that part will be ready later. I like to leave my players in a sense of vagueness, makes the plot more entertaining.

until that point, we will simply play as though it was a normal life game, I guess, so we can make sure all the characters are in one place for that part to come along.

The Form:

Name:

Age:

Appearance:

Deck:

Bio and Personality:

My character:

Name: Simon Teel

age: 17

Appearance:

wolfwood-shake.jpg

Wears a white trench coat, jeans, black t-shirt. wears white gloves too.

Bio and Personality: Calm, kind and helpful, though sarcastic some times. Moved to Japan from California in hopes to be a better duelist and over all gamer, so he can move on to open his own gaming shop. Also plays in a band, being able to play a variety of musical instruments.

here we go then. Post your characters and when we have enough, I'll set the scene and start us off.

Just so you know, you forgot to post your deck. Can we use created cards?

Name: Connor Short

Age: 14

Appearance: Short, with brown hair and glasses.

Deck: Ghost Heroes (if created cards) Elemental Heroes (if not)

Bio and Personality: Kind of annoying, good at tricky comebacks.

I hope that's ok.

Heck, let's do it.

Name: Recks Menlowsen

Age: 20

Appearance:What really catches the eye is his patchwork cloak, but that's his only really defining feature. the rest of him is ordinary; muddy green eyes, dirty blond hair, 5'11'' height, not quite skinny, but without much muscle either.

Deck: Pentagram

A quick and effective judge of character, rarely is he wrong on that level. While he doesn't have much technical knowledge on any one thing, he does know a little bit of everything.

I would like to join... sounds interesting.

Name: Amira Relison

Age: 23

Appearance: Standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall, she is usually seen wearing a dark blue suit and glasses. Her black hair comes just down to her shoulders, which is kept well-groomed to help give off a professional appearance. She has a large bag with her almost at all times; it contains her laptop.

Deck: Ownership Deck (some real, some custom cards)

Bio and Personality: She a traveler, always enjoying to see new places. She has visited Domino City before, but that was before Battle City occurred. She makes her living giving Duel Monsters lessons to those interested, and participating in any tournaments she comes across. She is kind and pragmatic all at once, which causes conflict within her sometimes (for example, if someone cannot pay for their lessons). She also wants to catalog as many Duel Monsters cards as she can, and has often cursed her bad luck to not be able to participate in Battle City and witness all of the rare cards being shown.

((and thus a few seconds became a few days. sorry, I was intending on starting way back then... must have lost track of time))

The hot summer sun beat down on Domino city with a vengeance. everywhere, people were retreating in doors, dashing to the nearest body of water or simply collapsing in the heat.

In the park, there was almost no sign of life. every shady spot had been taken, and anyone who couldn't find such a place was not even outdoors.

However, sitting calmly in the sun, proudly wearing his white trenchcoat and gloves sat One of the few heroes of this tale, Simon Teel. he simply sat there and played

, the tune echoing through the windless air like a siren's song or a forboding, ghostly lullaby.

((and here we begin. remember guys, at least four sentences per post.))

"Glug, glug, glug..."

Amira drank the bottle of water in her hand as if it was not even there. The heat was overbearing; she wished that she did not have to head out today. However, she needed to pick up something important at the shop down the road, something important enough that she was still wearing her suit from when she was visiting prospective students earlier in the day.

"Welcome!" The shopkeeper smiled as Amira made her way to the counter. The shop was cramped, with little maneuvering room. It seemed like a good place to buy cards, though. The shopkeeper's eyes widened as he recognized Amira as a previous customer. "Ah, it's you. It's ready."

"Thank you," Amira replied. The shopkeeper placed on the table a duel disk, which became popular around when the Battle City tournament was held.

"I can't believe a duelist like yourself does not have a duel disk. Was it stolen?" The shopkeeper asked.

Amira nodded in response. The truth was that she has never owned a duel disk in her life, though she has borrowed one on many occasions while out tutoring novices. The shopkeeper placed the box containing the disassembled duel disk on the table and bagged it. Amira thanked the shopkeeper and began navigating the store to leave. She only had to assemble the duel disk now, but there was no room in the shop. There was no way she was going to do anything in the heat, so she decided to build it at her apartment.

On her way back she stopped to get another bottle of water. There was just something about this almost unnatural heat that bugged her, though that may just be the fact that she is not used to weather like this. Amira cut through a park on her way home, wanting to hurry to assemble her new toy and to just get out of the sun.

Fortunately for her, a couple just got up from under a tree, freeing up some shade. She quickly made her way there and dropped to the ground, letting her two bags fall with her. Carrying both her laptop and a box in this heat was exhausting, so she welcomed her luck. In fact, it was relatively cool, so she began to assemble her duel disk to a somewhat familiar song being played nearby.

It was lucky that Recks had the lighter colors on his cloak's hood, as the intense heat would have fried his head otherwise. As it was, he hadn't anything to do. And everyone knows that being in this kind of heat can only be made worse if you're bored. So, Recks wandered about, occasionally stopping to wipe the sweat from his brow or to get a duel request rejected.

Liam walked around the city with duel disk in arm and a evil grin across his face he looked for weaklings to pulverise on the dueling feild then as simple as that he will leave after taking money or even cards from them. He did this mainly because he lives on the street and he found in his begging cup a duel monsters deck which happened to also have some booster packs inside. He crafted a deadly zombie deck using only he regulation limit and a bit of luck he became one of the most feared duelists and well criminals for that manner as he is described as a new age rare hunter

Connor sat on a bench, taking as much reprieve from the sun as he could. Being an early riser, he had gotten one of the best spots in the town, and was looking through his deck. GHost Heroes... The hidden power of these cards still amazed him. Getting up, he activated his duel disc. "Who wants to duel?" he shouted into the never-wavering heat.

Amira finished attaching her disk together, relieved that she finished. She placed it on her arm and and tested some of the features. That's another step done, she thought to herself. Now only if I can test this in an actual Duel...

"Who wants to duel?"

A voice, almost as if it was in response to her brainstorming, boomed from behind. She turned around and spotted a short man wearing glasses. She stared at him puzzlingly, after all, what kind of man would want to duel in this weather?

"It's obvious" Amira muttered to herself. She stood up and walked out of the shade; once again feeling the overbearing sunlight. She took another swig of her water and approached the duelist.

"I can take you on." Amira replied, staring intently at the man. "Do you accept me as your challenger?"

Amira activated her duel disk. Even in this weather, it felt good. She drew her starting hand in response to her opponent's offer, even though it was obvious it was her first time using her disk.

"Do you think that knowledge would give you the upper hand?" Amira glanced at her hand and smiled. "It'd be interesting to see how you play with that knowledge, though; and it's not a tournament or anything. Very well, I summon Martial Artist in Training in Attack position!"

The fighter appeared on her side of her field. It looked like it was a practitioner of some unknown martial art... some mix of Karate and Judo, maybe? A few moments later, a similarly dressed fighter appeared on her opponent's field.

"With my deck, the entire playing field is at my disposal," Amira said, finally answering the question. "I'll set one trap facedown, and end my turn." She watched her opponent in anticipation. "Now, show me some rare and interesting cards!" Amira added, almost unable to contain her excitement.

((Oh yeah, 4000 lifepoints like the show, or 8000 like real life?))

Custom Cards used here

Martial Artist in Training

4/DARK/Warrior/Effect

ATK/1700 DEF/1700

When this card is summoned, special summon 1 "Sparring Partner Token" (Warrior-Type/EARTH/Level 4/1700/1400) to your opponent's side of the field. This token cannot be tributed for a Tribute Summon. If this card battles a "Sparring Partner Token", neither monster is destroyed by battle.

((we'll go with the anime 4000))

Simon stopped playing as the essence of a duel filled the air. He stood and looked around for a bit before his sight locked onto the two duelists. He put his ocarina in his back pack and walked over

"This should be an interesting affair. I haven't even seen a duel in months," he muttered.

Amira noticed a small crowd had formed around the duelists. This was a stroke of luck for her, since if she dueled skillfully enough, it would make it easier to get clients. There were a few unsavory types watching as well, but she paid them no mind. After all, she had a duel to focus on.

Ok, ok I'm back! Sorry about that. Been busy and sick and many other things have happened.

Ic: Connor stared at the martial artist. "Hm, only 1700 ATK with an effect that Special Summons monsters to my side of the field? I can beat that!" he said, grinning. "First of all, I activated Mystical Space Typhoon!" A storm descended upon the face-down Trap card of his opponent, destroying it. "THen, I summon GHost Hero Ranto!" A red Ghost appeared, with a hole in his front. [spoiler=Ghost Hero Ranto]260997a.jpg

Once during the duel, you may Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position from the Graveyard. If you do, this card’s ATK is reduced to 0, and when this card is destroyed, remove it from play. This card cannot be used for a Synchro or Fusion Summon or Tributed for a Tribute Summon on the turn it was Special Summoned from the Graveyard. If you control another "Ghost Hero" monster on the field, this card gains 300 ATK.

"How do you like that?" Connor asked, smiling. "Now, GHost Hero Ranto will attack your Martial Artist in Training!" A ball of shadow appeared in the hole on Ranto's front, and shot out at the monster.. "Any counters?" Connor asked. "If not, I set one card face-down and end my turn.
