The "Nuking the Card Pool Significantly" List

Recommended Posts

This is actually a real thread this time.

Newly Banned

1) All cards with effects capable of modifying ATK or DEF.

2) All Spell or Trap Cards capable of subtracting a monster from your opponent's hand or field without costing any other cards than themselves.

3) All Spell or Trap Cards capable of adding an additional monster to your hand or field without costing any other cards than themselves.

4) All cards with ATK and/or DEF higher than (card's original Level*450.)

5) All cards capable of netting a +1 or greater amount of Card Advantage outside of battle.

6) All cards listing alternate win conditions in their effects.

7) All cards which involve skipping a phase or turn of your opponent's.

8) All multiple-attackers.

9) Cyber End Dragon, Dark Strike Fighter, Exchange of the Spirit, Graceful Charity, Life Equalizer, Reversal Quiz, and Skill Drain.

Newly Unlimited

Everything else.

What's wrong here? Other than nuking the card pool significantly.

In this topic, Mechanical Chaser and Zaborg are bannable.

Also, what the hell does this mean?

-All Spell or Trap Cards capable of costing only 1 card for an opponents monster; theirselves.

-All Spell and Trap Cards capable of costing only 1 card for an additional monster; theirselves

Fissure, Smashing Ground, Trap Hole, Bottomless, Sakeretsu Armor, etc. They're bad because Spell and Traps can be piled on endlessly, monsters require meeting Summoning conditions, the most popular being "you can't Normal Summon/Set again this turn."

So it's unfair that cards that can be piled on endlessly be able to take out cards that can't necessarily be or that cost a player a lot in order to get out.

In other words, one for one removal is bannable IYO?

Where do drawing cards stand? (Allure, D-Draw, etc etc?)

Also, rephrase the second and third point please, as they make little sense.

I'm pretty sure Graceful Charity is legal in 3s on this list.

Fixed? O' date='o

Scratch my last post, Exodia is the new meta.

[/quote']

Since this list doesn't have a Limited or Semi-Limited section, it's redundant to mention that it's at 3, as that is synonymous with being legal.

True.

Saying its at 3s is redundent. >___>

Indeed.

Allure and D-Draw are safe, but drawing cards are still banned if they meet any of the conditions.

Mkay.

I'm pretty sure Graceful Charity is legal on this list. I'm also pretty sure that Zone Eater is illegal on this list.

What.

Zone Eater's actually perfectly legal unless I'm overlooking something here. I'm adding alternate win conditions to the list to stop Exodia. Graceful Charity isn't a problem in my environment. That's how awesome it is.

Other legal cards that might raise some eyebrows:

Confiscation

Exchange of the Spirit

Metamorphosis, along with Cyber Twin Dragon

Painful Choice

The Forceful Sentry

Yes, that's right. You banned Thunder Dragon but left Painful Choice and Graceful Charity legal. What.

Zone Eater can +1 with its effect.

Banning all alternate win conditions doesn't do much because you left stuff like Reversal Quiz around.

Graceful Charity is always a problem. Always.

Hey Polaris' date=' would this list ban Black Luster - Envoy of the Beginning?

It has both a removal outside of battle effect, and an in-battle effect that lets it remove multiple monsters.

[/quote']

Its removal effect is a +1; it's banned.

Also' date=' Chaos Emperor is bas o_o

[/quote']

If you meant "Chaos Sorcerer is back", it's under category 5.

Zone Eater can +1 with its effect.

It has to be destroyed in the process though' date=' so I'm not really sure if that counts there.

Confiscation

2).

Metamorphosis' date=' along with Cyber Twin Dragon[/quote']

Should I ban multi-attackers or just Twin? I'm thinking multi-attackers but I thought I'd ask.

Painful Choice

That's actually alright here with Exodia and +1s gone right?

The Forceful Sentry

But the removal effect is optional.

I had edited that part out because:

1- it was a typo

2- Chaos Emperor seemed obveious

I really don't get what you're trying to do:/

Basicly its like using a "no-banlist" cheat on one of the yugioh games, but somehow has a bit of 'skill' tied to it.

I know Defense Position isn't as common as Attack Position, but are we going to pretend that it doesn't even exist?

Confiscation

2).

Ah' date=' it's updated; I thought that rule only covered removal from the field.

Metamorphosis' date=' along with Cyber Twin Dragon[/quote']

Should I ban multi-attackers or just Twin? I'm thinking multi-attackers but I thought I'd ask.

To make the new rule be consistent in quality with the existing rules, ban Machine-Type monsters.

Painful Choice

That's actually alright here with Exodia and +1s gone right?

Painful Choice reads "Foolish x4' date=' draw a card".

Actually, maybe the updated Rule 3 bans it.

The Forceful Sentry

Bah, updated rules. >_>

Yeah I updated them to make a little more sense right around the time you posted, sorry about that. Well, guess Painful Choice is covered then.

Doesn't matter, as long as it's capable, it's banned.

Will be gone for a while from this thread for today, so if I don't respond it's because of that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that the following cards are legal:

Dark Strike Fighter

Sangan

Witch of the Black Forest

Cyber End Dragon

Cyber Twin Dragon

Cyber Dragon

Metamorphosis

Tsukonyomi

Fiber Jar

Cyber Jar

I just realized that this list has Jar of Greed at 0 but Graceful Charity at 3. That's how terrible this list is.

Sangan, Witch, Fiber, and Cyber Jar are banned because they +1, and Tsukuyomi is fine here because any Flip Effect Monster that can +1 is banned, which means there isn't anything worth using anyhow.
