Bringerofcake
I am going to break the precedent. As opposed to all the other first-timers out there, I am asking for your most harsh, gritty, nitpicky, (but spam-free) commentary out there. I need to make this story the optimum, and for that, I need to fix what is wrong. Now for the actual story. This is loosely based off of a failed RP experiment by one Griffin999 called Strangers to Seraphs. I say "loosely based" as I have no idea as to the pre-existing plot. Therefore, I can only infer and create where needed. From Griffin's words;"This... takes place at a time before the 5Ds story. It's far enough forward that Satellite to exist, although it probably won't play much of a part in the RP. If there is a clash between Yugioh canon and the RP, RP wins, I don't wish to hurt the story to stick to canon." So, without any more ado, I present the prologue of Yu-Gi-Oh!: Gods Amongst Men. [spoiler=Prologue: A Brief Chronicle]It wasn't a peaceful time. About twenty years ago, at least, the Psycho Wars were going strong. They weren't real wars, but they certainly caused damage like wars. The two "contenders", that is to say the Seraph Group and the Arcadia Movement, would destroy bits and pieces of the Satellite. Although this was of no major concern to those in the city (this was Satellite we were talking about), the Public Security Maintenance Bureau took this threat seriously. Many a Psycho Duel was shut down due to the intervention of the Security, and for that the people were grateful. The leader of one of the groups was also very well known. After Lonei was forced to step down from his position as the Head of the PSMB (due to the actions of the sinister organization Yliaster), he announced his intentions in the most flamboyant of ways, by imprinting the Seraph symbol into the ground during rush hour, when people could see him. And he was definitely seen. The rumors spread, and it was now Director Godwin's job to quell these rumors. Meanwhile, at a small house in Satellite, there was odd man. He was an odd man simply because he was dressed entirely in black, complete with black sunglasses and hair. Every so often, he would pull out a device and check it, then continue on his way. He stopped at a particularly unassuming house, specifically on its particularly unassuming doorstep. He pulled an envelope out of his black trenchcoat, and put it in the door. He then turned and left. As he made his way back on to the road, he pulled out a mobile phone and hit a single button. Instantly he heard a female voice."Have you finished your job?""Yes ma'am.""Where are you?""Just left the target's house, ma'am.""Very well. I'll have a car on 27th and Muto for you.""Yes ma'am."The call was disconnected.
