Davok
Lovecraft. anybody?I want to read some of it. It sounds messed up as f***. You can actually read it online quite easily. I'm just starting reading some of his first stories' date=' they're messed up, but not messed up as funk as you eloquently put it. But probably since he didn't get into the whole Cthulhu mythos after that. [i']Then[/i] things start to get pretty screwed up.
Felix Culpa
The Invisible Man was about a scientist who discovered the key to invisibility and it drove him insane. I'm surprised by how many of H.G. Wells predictions of the future came true.

Felix Culpa
I said many. Not all. He predicted Aerial Bombing and Portable TVs. He also depicted when WWII when would begin and said that 'all countries of the world would participate'. http://www.trivia-library.com/b/science-fiction-predictions-h-g-wells.htm
