Dark
No, my science teacher heard that the spinny machine was rigged, so he sent me to test it out. It's not rigged when it has lower jackpots, it IS rigged when the jackpot increases. I don't know what unit "rigs" come in, so I can't figure out a formula. :/ I could do amount of times jackpot hit based on jackpot ticket amount. But I'd need 5000+ tokens to work that out with 98%+ accuracy. I got 5 points of extra credit, and I got an A+ that marking period. :P

Dark
Cyclone. The lights spin around in a circle and you hit a button which stops the light, and you get the amount of tickets the light lands on.
♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
Oh. So it's just a simple reaction test? Or is it rigged?
Dark
I'm pretty sure it's rigged. Like I said, I have the best reaction time and hand-eye coordination in my school. I noticed that as the jackpot got higher, my chances of winning dimished. This could be my reaction was getting slightly worse each time the jackpot went up, and it got better when the jackpot was low. But I was playing on several different machines. And whenever the jackpot was low, I won it more often.
♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
Oh. I get it now. This just goes to show everybody that pretty much any prize-related game has a trick to it, made to make it difficult to win. Whether it be rigged or something else. Dark
Even that Deal or No Deal game at arcades is rigged. The 400 tickets were in case number 5. So I choose 5. They were in 22. I KNOW 100% FOR SURE the tickets were in case 5. It's all rigged. It's rigged so the amount of money spent on tokens is more than the amount of money lost through prizes. ♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
It all comes from the idea that companies want revenue. If everybody kept winning, they wouldn't be able to get anything out of it.

Or get some people with horrible hand-eye and reaction time to play games that require hand-eye and reaction time. However, Ski-Ball is not rigged. .Frostpaw
Oh, I forgot to mention that a Golden Corral, I saw an unopened YSD deck in a skill crane. You know, the one with the awesome alternate art ultra rare Sparkman? I wanted to try to win it, but now I'm glad that I didn't. The only cool card in there is only cool for its art, and that was the Sparkman.

Cin
I remember when my parents found one of those win £5 with every item out of the crane. They put like £2 in and never won (that's 20 goes on one of those), it did make me laugh that's the crane always seemed to lose grip under the weight of the toy. My sister did win a Spongebob teddy but it was lightweight and fairly large. I prefer slot machines tbh.

bury the year
I won the jackpot on the Cyclone game (where you stop the light as it spins around) and got like 900 tickets. :3 ell o ell I had to do a research assignment on that for extra credit. My science teacher had like 500 Chuck E. Cheeses tokens' date=' and he gave me all of them and told me to experiment on the jackpot (since I have the best reaction time/hand-eye coordination in the school). The rate of jackpot decreases when the jackpot get's higher (since some part of it is computer generated). I won 2 jackpots (50 tickets each) in a row, and failed to win a 450 jackpot blowing 74 tokens on it. I won on the 75th one. I used ALL 500 tokens, had to sit at Chuck E. Cheeses with a clipboard and pen (so many people laughed), and right down results. I was there for quite some time. In the end, I used all my tickets (5500+ / average of 11 tickets per token) and bought a laser pointer and a stuffed animal (dolphin) which I got to keep. The extra credit brought my grade from a 92 to a 97.[/quote'] I have insane reflexes, I guess. xD Since, if I remember correctly, the lights speed up the higher you go, it's just determining how many lights ahead to stop it at so your decision to press the button and the actual point of impact will line up correctly. Dark
On the Cyclone machine I was testing, the lights stayed the same speed, even when the jackpot got higher/reset. There is always a chance you will get a jackpot, even on 10,000 tickets, it's just significantly lower than if the jackpot was 200 tickets. Dark
Possibly. The one(s) I was/were testing had no design, it was just a plain plastic tube with numbers and a light. The only problem I had with testing is that I couldn't have anyone else at the same machine (4 to a machine), because that might have thrown off my calculations. On an un-related note, I saw a hot girl at that arcade. I think she was observing me doing CALCULATIONS AT A FREAKING ARCADE. She was 20 or something, so it's a good thing I'll never see her again. Cin
Well in the UK slot machines are in Amusement Arcades, most of the seaside holiday hotspots have some, although I haven't won anything in a while on my own.

Jackpots are still possible, because once a slot machine makes an income of 10,000 dollars, it can afford to give out a 500 dollar jackpot. Cin
Users don't really care they do it for the fun of it. I really loved playing on the slots with my Grandma when she was still alive, something that's continued (now we have to go on the slots everytime we go the seaside). On-Topic: My cousin won some candy on a candy skill crane. You do realize that you play until you win some candy, right? So, even if he/she wouldn't have won a piece of candy the first time, he/she would've gotten to play the candy crane until he/she won some candy.
