BulletMan
NEW RULES! In a duel, in order to win through Battle Damage or Effect Damage, the last card to finish the opponent off must make the opponents Life Points exactly 0. If a player would try to inflict more damage than needed with a monster, all damage is reduced to 0, and you cannot activate the effect of a card/activate a card that would inflict more Effect Damage than needed, or its damage is reduced to 0. In addition, cards that would make damage towards the opponent or the controller themselves that would make the controller or opponents Life Points tens and single digit nubers between 01-49 or 51-99 are rounded toward the nearest fiftieth, due to the fact that if this ruling were not applied would make the other players Life Points near immpossible to deplete. An exaple is "Castle of Illusions". And if your opponent has 100 or less Life Points, you can attack with a 100 ATK monster or Card Effect that would cause 100 damage (no more, no less for both) to make the opposing players Life Points 0, even if this would not make the opposing players Life Points exactly 0. So, saying that these rules were really applied, what would the meta look like, and what kind of new stradegies/Decks would be used? Discuss. Guest PikaPerson01
Run Solemn. Get yourself to anything ending in a 50. Solemn anything. (Because paying a cost isn't inflicting damage.) On-topic though, once you get to less then 1000 life points, you're pretty much guaranteed not to lose if you're opponent doesn't have anything with 100, 200, 250, or 500 attack. tl;dr: It's a terrible rule. shadowferret
......Backs To The Wall would be completely broken in this. Well, time to use my janky Toon strategy...Toon Dark Magician Girl + Toon World + Mage Power + Mage Power + Mage Power = Attack for 8000 directly! Whee! ....>_>
Luxlord
Victory Dragon would PROBABLY be limited if this rule came into effect.
Tabris
Suppose that Konami cooked that one up... ... they funked themselves up. Fer real. This time. The bells ain't tollin' for no good reason.
Eury
I dueled myself out of boredom(I'm sick I've nothing better to do) with this rule. I actually won using it. I had Red Gadget and AG Gadjiltron Dragon on the field while the other deck had 2000 lp left. Summoned Cannon Soldier, tributed Red Gadget for effect inflicting 500, then activated AG Explosive for 1500 points of damage. (Yes I'm this bored.) metalflygon08
Just wait, Konami's gonna create a card that works similar to this like "If your opponent cannot decrease your Life Points exactly to 0 you take no Damage from card effects or attacks. OmegaWave
*Sees this**Head -> Brick Wall* This. No one would play Yugioh anymore because it would be to f***in hard XD Especially if neither deck has the means to even out the LP calculation.
